If you rather prefer the avenue version of my modern realistic subway (only in v2) with crosswalks, well now you can. I have made a custom crosswalk for both directions of traffic. There is one thing about this that I want to make clear. This lot WILL NOT replace the existing version for the avenue. Instructions on replacing are included in the readme which I'd prefer you read. This lot is transit enabled, and UDI enabled and tested by me. Also, all dependencies are included. Here are some details about this version Avenue Station Capacity: 15000 Cost to build: 100 Cost to bulldoze: 100 Monthly cost: 20 Power consumed: 10 Water consumed: 10 Size: 2x2 Dependencies: INCLUDED I'd like to thank the people who have commented on v2 that this needed a crosswalk, as that after the response, it seemed well needed. Please again, this WILL NOT overwrite the existing installed version, it will only add another lot. Replacement instructions are included, and all you will have to do is delete the old lot (read the README), install this lot and dependencies, and then replace any existing stations. Do not upload this upload or any part of it without my written permission first. Please do not modify any part of this upload and re-upload it without my permission either. Thanks for all the help with this, as I do take recommendations seriously. -
Good to hear that, and regarding the issues with MC, these issues are probably coming up at a good time. We can ask questions reagarding common issues with CXL and wonder if they will prosper in CXL 2011. Some of the things I have posted are things that i have slowly come to see. I have only had this game for about a month, so I think that these issues bring up questions for Focus. Will CXL 2011 have resolved issues found in CXL? Is the game completely new, or is it a modified CXL that is updated and all? As of the recent pop of issues, I think its more that I have bought the game, and am trying to ask questions that can help me and others, as well as that we want to bring up things that we are wondering will persist and prosper to make a big problem in '2011. Best of luck to everyone.

For someone who is confused by what red said (very well said too) is that you will need a program called Darwine (Google is your friend) to run CXL since it is only designed for Windows. Now if you follow the steps, you should have it running fine on your mac. That also is a good question to ask Focus if it already hasn't been asked, will CXL 2011 run on Mac based OS'? What OS' does it support? Good luck.

7253 Well, Ill just say what I have to, I am a fan of teams based in Philadelphia, because I was born there, my family is from that area, and I live in the area. So yeah, I support Vick, and I believe in second chances, as well as I support the Phillies, as they are something special to this town, a well as I love watching the flyers fly, hockey has become very interesting to me this year. But basketball and the sixers, well, that's a different story.

Almost every game has something good about it, and SimCity Socities is no different. I know ALMOST every game has issues as well, ans SCS is no different either. The real point here though is that every time i go and play this game, I have no urge to exit. I can play for a few hours and actually enjoy it. From the car to TV to the table (yes, I am using a laptop), I find something to enjoy about this game. Now I can get a bit annoyed when you hit the wrong button, but that's user error, not a game error. Whats even better is that there is an actual undo button. So when I make a mistake, I can Ctrl+Z it for the first time in SimCity. Now I know this is somewhat unrealistic, but it was if you destroyed something, it was gone. In real life, that takes time, and you can stop the deconstruction and construction a bit more easily. There is a lot more than just Ctrl+Z and enjoyability. I find that the smaller town limit of SCS is a bit annoying, I can't go "all out", but I feel like there is more of a conection between me (the mayor) and the residents (sims) is a bit more than what it used to be. I can target out which sims are sad and which ones are happy, and use that to construct the city I want to. The different types of cities also make it hard to choose, should I go with a Tourist Trap like city, or an urban feel. I like SCS for those reasons and more. I do dislike the transportation features a lot because it just doens't allow for a realistic transportation network, but I also wonder if EA wanted to go with the K.I.S.S. principle. Overall, I can find that SCS is not a game that I dread to play, and that it can be fun if you can take time to see what it is made of. And if you have to play a little to see how much you might like this game, it might just be worth it. Feel free to express what you feel about SCS.

7172 Wow.... I am not that suprised. stupid page flip bug

It seems like it would work, but still, there are small roads, and it would be hard to navigate, and what if a car caught fire under it at a stop light?

Most likely the issue you might be having is related to your graphic detail. If you want to fix it, raise your graphic levels, or get a better card.

Freeze, Crash To Desktop (CTD), Dual Core?
tjh876 replied to Slashback's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
CTD means crash to desktop. Now I have had issues with SC4 when I went to the desktop (save pic or check something) then being unable to go back to SC4. I have issues with windowed mode too, because it isn't in a window. Any ideas? -
THe issue is that if it doesn't have an sc4desc, then it wouldn't produce power and water. I might be wrong, but that is what it seems.

The SimCity 5 Thread (Formerly "Is SimCity 5 Ever Coming Out?").
tjh876 replied to xterra09's topic in City-Building Games
Well I still think there is a SC5, but its not called that. It is 3d and all..., no grid, but its small and you run out of space fast. Its called SCS (Sim City Societies), and if they can make a more manageable and CXL like game, it would be great, and even better with the UDI. -
I use the native resolution for my screen (1366x768) but 1024x768 is distorted, although it is that resolution. Just to ask a question, is CXL a game that requires a good cpu or gpu, because I have an i5-520, and I can barely play on medium. I have an ATi 4570, so does anyone know is there a way to run on higher settings with better fps? Resolution doesn't seem to help, more it seems worse due to the distrotion.
