Gettting residents to use the highways.
whiteshark365 replied to Mike1814's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
I have found that a very good way to get use out of your highways is to modify the traffic speed on them. The traffic cop program is good for this. I set my highway speeds at near 1,250, and it makes almost all residents take the highway to work. -
I have been able to get the terraformer to work in windows 7 64-bit. You have to install the direct-x 9c update, even if you already have directx 11, still need the instal for 9c. Also copy the additional .dll file into the system32 folder. After all of that, restart your system and it should work. If it still doesnt work also try setting the comptability mode for the program to windows xp. Let me know if this still doesnt work.

Crystal Junction Warning this is a high graphics journal, non-broadband connections may load slow! Project Overview: Well I have been talking about it for nearly three weeks or so now, and here is finally the first post on Cyrstal Junction. Crystal Junction is going to be a desert/ canyon city located in the Crystal Canyons, which is where the city gets it's name from. This city is more of an imaginary creation, then being based off of a real life city, like my previous three regions were. This city is going to have a much more desolution appearnce in terms of its geology. The idea I am trying to get with this city is for it to be more like a center of civilization in the middle of no where, with expansive desserts surrounding the outskirts of the city. This city is going to be incoperating a number of mods like my previous regions did, most all the same mods, but more implementation of bat and lex lots. I want to try and give it a customized view. I'll also be designing several bats lots myself for the city, but that might not be complete for some time. Anyway here is a basic idea of what the city is going to look like. The city rests at a major junction of canyons, highways, and freeways, which is where it gets it's name from. Crystal from the Crystal Canyons, and Junction from the highway and freeway jucntions. The city developed from the traffic that flowed thru these highways. The city is going to be more a single entity then a collection of towns and subrubs like Ridge Point was. There might be some towns and suburbs on the outskirts of the city, but most of the maps will be Crystal Junction city limits. The city is going to have a single downtown district, probably double in size what Ridge Point was, and is going to have an overall regional population of arround 1.9 million, making it signifficantly larger then Ridge Point was. In the meantime I will be working on developing the region, and working some on the bat buildings. Here is just a basic map pic of the city with surrounding highways. My next update will be sometime later on in the week, or today, depending on how much work I can complete on terraforming the region. Basic Map of the City. As always I'd appreciate any input, good or bad.

Post 2.00 New Update I haven't been able to work on this journal for a while now, mostly do to being too busy, and not really spending much time on the computer anymore, however recently I have had some time to spend working on Sim City and here is an update with the journal as it stands currently. Due to the limited ability of the city to refine natural fuels such as gas, oil, coal, and other fossil fuels the city has started to switch to more cost effective power sources and power sources that do not require much fuel. Solar energy is quickly replacing the old gas power plants, which are being decommissioned as they age to an inoperable status. Currently being disputed between the city which is wanting to develop the area into new strip malls and subdivision to relieve the commercial and housing stains of the city due to current population increases. Farmers are refusing to give up their land due to the area being farmed since the city was founded nearly 95 years ago. Currently the city is planning on creating new free farmland to new farmers west of the city to relocate the farms and have access to the land. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Farming%20Dispute.jpg align=baseline> -

South Prairie Harold Factories Raise New 2% Tax Hike! In response to the number of developing dirty industries within South Prairie, the South Prairie Town Counsel voted 7 to 2 to raise the dirty industrial tax rate from the already high 16% to 18% in order to discourage development of polluting factories within South Prairie. Many factory owners and workers led a protest along Main Street to oppose to new tax height, but with backing from most of South Prairie residents, and town counsel members, it is unlikely they rate will ever drop, which is bad news for most dirty industries, which may be forced to build new factories to either the west or outside of the region, due to an increasing tax level for all high-pollution industries region-wide. North Industrial Complex. New South Prairie Elementary School Opens Doors to Students! South Prairie's first major town investment opened it's doors to students today, ushering in the new school year with enthusiasm, playgrounds, and cheers from both parents and students, whom have been pushing for a new towns school to be built due to the small scale of the previous education system. This new school offers bus access to nearly 95% of the town, and boosts some of the regions best teaching facilities, and teachers. The new school opened it's doors at the intersection of Orange Street and Main Street in south downtown this morning. Nearly 6 months of landscaping and nearly $75,000.00 in town funds finally paid off with the grand opening of Mayflower Estates Pond Park. The new park located off of Faragut Ave in the Mayflower Estates Subdivision, offers a relaxing environment to fish, picnic, and a playground for the kids, not to mention improving South Prairies image, which is expected to encourage growth by attracting people from Iridium City. The park will be open year round, and has a three fish per person per day limit. Date: 6/27/2005 6:28:25 AM Author: Compromise Nice update, keep it up. Here is your score... Excellent things about this update which should be kept up: The very clever story line and amount of updates. Passable things about this update which could be improved: Been very picky but keeping it in order e.g showing us the story first then Iridium. Bad things about this update which should be improved: N/A Overall Rating: A B C D E F ^ B Good update. City Journal Evaluation System (CJES) by Compromise. Thanks for the B rating lol. I know it wasn't exactly in order, then again, I tried to put up a post at first to indicating I was creating a new journal, then some pics to display my current city building style. The story itself took some time to assemble, espically with my hectic schedule, though I do appreaciate the input. UPCOMING DELAY IN POSTS: During the first two weeks of July I am going to be taking a long needed vacation down into the southwest, therefore I won't be posting any updates. I'll try and keep some brief internet access over the trip, to reply to posts, but it will only be like 1 time every two days. In the meantime I'll try and get a new post going before I leave early morning (1:30 am) on july 2nd. PS - Roadtrips are great. PS2 - Got new sharks in my aviator. PS3 - Thank God My Posts aren't being judged at a spelling bee or gramar festivle. -

Iridium City In The Beginning Before Iridium City: Nearly a century ago the people of Hypernus were a rapidly advancing and powerful civilization, with nearly the same level of technology as Earth. A discovery made in the year 1276 of the second age, made in a jungle on one of the south continents changed all of that. A giant ring was found in a decaying temple. At first it was believed to be by the more educated of the community to be a icon for ancient religious practices, however a small religious group called the Guardians of the Gods, believed it was the long lost ring of the gods from which all of society began. For nearly a year the object was studied by archeologists, trying to determine how this item was used in ancient times. Many theories were proposed, but none seemed to add up. Then after a piece of the object was sent to a lab in the city of Terium to conduct a carbon dating scan, a rather startling discovery was made. The object was composed for a very precisely aligned crystal that had super conducting properties, and not only that, the carbon dating revealed that the object was nearly 10 million years of age, many times older then any civilization had ever existed. In addition to the results, archeologists on the site, discovered a artifact that seemed to contain an extremely complex crystalline computer system. Both discoveries fed the public's religious ideas, including the small group known as the guardians of the gods, whose numbers grew substantially after the discoveries. The news came as a shock to some, and several small riots began as a result of the discovery, however; most of the problems lasted several weeks. The military stepped in to guard the site, and take over analysis of the item. In a relatively short period of time, the military discovered that the ring was in fact a very sophisticated transportation device, that seemed to have the ability to travel to other planets. The artifact with the complex computer systems, was determined to be the controlling mechanism for device. In addition, the symbols depicted on the device matched symbols found in seven icon strips along the walls of the room. When it was determined that each seven strip series were codes used in the operation of the device, they had managed to get the ring to turn on. Over the next several months, machines, researchers, and personal traveled through the ring to different worlds. Most of the worlds visited contained either ruins of primitive cultures, and other primitive societies. There was no evidence on any visited world of any advanced society that could have constructed the device, and in addition all the visited worlds that had civilizations, contained human civilizations. Those whom they were able to communicate with all made reference to a power oppressive god-like race, whom tormented their people, and used the ring on a regular basis. When the last series of symbols found on the walls was placed into the device, a new reality for the people of Hypernus began. When this world was visited, they encountered a very advanced group of human-like aliens, that immediately captured the group. Out of the ten that went through the ring, only 2 returned describing the world as being controlled by a hostile alien force. Those whom were captured were tortured extensively, about where they came from by a raced that called themselves the Goa'uld. Most members of the team realized that this race was a great threat and didn't divulge any information; a few did break under the torture, and reveled many secretes about the Hypernans, including the military, technological, and astrological information. The Goa'uld make it a point to wipe out societies that were become too advanced, seeing them as a threat to their empire over the stars. In response, they sent an attack force through the ring, in an attempt to determine the power of the Hypernans. The ring base too heavy damage and great casualties; however the attacking aliens, were eventually subdued, but not before one made it back through the ring. The one that made it back described the efficiently of the Hypernan's weapons and defenses, which led the Goa'uld to the conclusion, that a fleet must be sent to Hypernus, to irradiate the Hypernan civilization. Long before the fleet arrived, one of the captured men managed to escape and get back to Hypernus, and warn them about the upcoming threat. In response, they knew that this alien race had more advanced weapons then they posses, and concluded that it would be necessary to try and establish an outpost on another world, that wasn't inhabited to allow important governing officials and key scientists to escape. During the next several weeks, a planet was chosen, and a small base was established on the coastline of a world quite distant from Hypernus. It was unknown as to the time table left before the attack would began, and therefore, before a complex base could be completed, a great deal of equipment, vehicles, and five extremely advanced satellites including launching equipment was sent through the ring. By the middle of the third week, telescopic and radio observatories detected several unidentified objects moving towards Hypernus, at rapid speed. By the time the ships were detected, it just hours before the attacks began. The first attacks, leveled most major cities on the northern continents. Nearly 400 million were dead within three hours of the initial attack. The capital cities for the worlds three countries were the first locations attacked, and no government official or leader was able to make it to the ring. In response to the attacks, the militaries of the three nations joined as many forces as they could and launched a massive nuclear strike on the attacking ships. Two of the six ships were destroyed, however the remaining ships shot most of the nukes out of the sky, resulting in massive detonations in the upper atmosphere, knocking out power to nearly half the planet, and causing a radioactive rain through most of the equator regions. The remaining ships began to attack the southern continents and within two days, most major cities were destroyed, and more then two thirds of the planets 3 billion inhabitants were dead. Ground invasions had began on the planet by now, and those surviving whom fled the cities were quickly losing the battle. The ring was used by this time to transport as many military forces and equipment through the ring as possible, before invading forces overwhelmed the base. One man stayed behind to ensure their escape and detonated a small nuclear device at the site to ensure the enemy did not follow through or find the location of those whom escaped. In all nearly two thousand people managed to escape, not including the hundred already through the ring whom were setting the base up. Immediately upon making it through the ring, the ring found on this world was removed from it's foundation, and taken by a boat out of the bay, and nearly 30 miles out into the ocean, where it was dumped into the water, to make sure the attackers did not follow them through. Over the next several months, many of the survivors contemplated about what happened to their home, and mourning over loved ones. However, they had managed to survive, and tried to make a life for themselves. Those whom made it through had brought a substantial amount of equipment, supplies, technology, vehicles, portable industrial processors, and other equipment. This was all used to begin constructing a small town on the shore of the bay, that was named Iridium Bay, for the rich deposits of Iridium found in caves and mines a year before the attack. The five satellites were launched, and farms were built within several months of traveling through the ring, and so was the city of Iridium City established, nearly 75 years ago. Hypernus The Beginning Until Now: Over the coarse of 75 years the town built grew steadily. Equipment brought back made it easier to construct farms, roads, factories, and mines to help build a town, and eventually develop the bay into a thriving area from which the Hypernan Civilization could rebuild and flourish. For several decades growth was slow, due to limited supplies and personal; however, mines built on the northern banks of the Iridium Ocean, combined with massive farms built to the south, help fuel rapid growth, and soon the town began to grow and develop into its current image. Most today only have stories passes down several generations of what happened to a once great civilization, and few are left alive whom remember the old world. Upper Iridium Bay Upper Iridium Bay is the regions third port town located along the Iridium Bay. Originally Upper Iridium Bay was just a small town built off of the northern stretch of route 1; however in recent years it has become a rapidly growing community, with the most attractive port in the region. Upper Iridium Bay is almost part of Iridium City itself, with all the land between Iridium City and Upper Iridium Bay almost completed developed; however the town will for some time to come have it's own unique identity from the growing city. Overview of Upper Iridium Bay Downtown Upper Iridium Bay is rather small compared to the downtown regions of other towns, primarily because it still tries to keep it's small town image very intact. Downtown consists of a strip of shops, restaurants, and auto-shops that runs along route until it's intersection with Birdway Lane. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//DT%20I%20Bay.jpg align=baseline> Upper Iridium Port is among the most attractive port area in the entire region. I don't think I've ever seen such talent in creating a rural farming region. Looks like you put a lot of effort into creating a very senic region. It has a very peaceful country like feel to it. If it were a real place, wouldnt mind living there. Best of luck with the journal. - Sharky

I should be finally getting the story-line together by sometime this afternoon, along with regional goals and plans for Iridium City. I also am going to get to once again rebegin work on the region, since to this point, since the first post, I've primairly just been taking many pics of the region instead of developing the region further. Just to give you a small hint about the storyline, the creation of Iridium City ties into the whole sci fi series Stargate SG-1 story-line, considering I've become a big fan of the series in recent times. -
I would say that is quite a realistic city, at least in how you built it. Very detailed, and probably one of best inner city harbors I've ever seen in a city journal. Good work.

Iridium Pointe and Stellar Heights Iridium City has two neighboring port towns located on opposite sides of the entrance to Iridium Bay. Both towns have become important to the metro area economy and prosperity. Iridium Pointe was established just 10 years after ground was first broken in Iridium City, and was built originally to as a fishing station for the town; however over the years it has developed into the third largest population center into the area, and a hot spot for wealthier Iridium City residents. Stellar Heights first established 30 years ago was built for the same reason as Iridium Pointe, and in recent years has become the location of the only military base within the Iridium Point area. Date: 6/23/2005 2:05:48 AM Author: Nardo69 Looks good so far. I like these road signs. Just two things / critics / suggestions: 1. Have you considered using BRF TunnelAndSlope Mod or the less radical CSX slope mod? Using it can be a really painful but roads and especially railways look way better this way - way more flat. IMHO you really should overwork your railways - they are a bit ... bumpy ... 2. You shouldn't make a railway overpass over any kind of streets as railways are way more sensitive to slopes than cars ... Just 2 suggestion ... Nardo I actually do use the tunnel and slope mod. I some areas however, I turn it off on so I can get roads and rail to fit. Also some areas of the city were built before I had the mod. I've also tried to make overpasses, however, they don't look very realistic on the terrian I've created due to the uneven terrian, except in a few areas. <edit> Sorry I didn't read your post right in what you were saying about rail overpasses. I actually try to avoid making them, except over major traffic roads, such as Route 1, or the Iridium City Expressway, where rail crossings would cause major traffic buildups or hazzards considering the amount of passenger and freight traffic on Iridium City's rail system. -

Downtown Iridium City First off, I would like to thank everyone for your compliments, wasn't expecting so many replies to just a brief introduction and two region pics, so it's a pleasant surprise. I have managed to get some pics of downtown Iridium City for all of you who are waiting for an update. To be more exact I have 16 pics of just the downtown area of Iridium City. I am still trying to work on a good story for the city, since this is a region I just worked on whenever I had a little spare time over the past few months. You'll probably notice I put a tremendous amount of effect into developing every tile of this region, much more in some areas then I did with Crystal Junction, resulting in a very natural, realistic, and rather scenic region, not to mention trying to apply lifelike city construction as well. Well enough of the talking lol, and onto some of the pics. Downtown Overview Downtown Close-Up https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Downtown%20I-City%20Closeup.jpg align=baseline> Downtown Close-Up at Night https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Downtown%20I-City%20Closeup%20Night.jpg align=baseline> Close-up of Downtown at Night looking east towards the bay along North Street. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Central%20downtown%20at%20night.jpg align=baseline> The old city pier and ferry is the location of the city's first waterfront development nearly 75 years ago. The first ferry terminal was built almost 73 years ago to provide a fast direct route to the small port settlement of Iridium Point across the bay, for people whom didn't' like the 12 mile drive along route 4 around the bay. To this date the Old Pier is a historical icon of the city, representing the spirit of the city's first inhabitants. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Old%20Pier%20and%20Ferry.jpg align=baseline> The old port was the city's first industrial ports built several years after the city was first built. This area contains the oldest manufacturing factories in the city, and represents the city's first stages to producing a stable self-sustaining industrial market. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Old%20Port%20and%20I%20Center.jpg align=baseline> The Bay Look-out Drive located on the north end of downtown along Main Street is perhaps one of the city's most scenic drives. This area originally was going to be developing ten years after the city was first settled, but instead was converted into a scenic drive to preserve the natural beauty of the region. 35 years later the city elected a commission to provide an elaborate landscaping, and beach area for the town to further enjoy, and to this date attracts visitors, from all around the city, for evens from swimming, to relaxing in the sun, to enjoying a evening walk. And for commuters, provides a nice relaxing area within the city center to enjoy the view, while fighting the rush-hour madness. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Bay%20Lookout%20Drive.jpg align=baseline> Iridium Bay Town Monument was built when the Look-out was renovated as a symbol for the entire city. The monument stands 75 feet tall and overlooks the bay. At night it is lit blue to produce a reflecting effect in the water, for beachgoers during the night, and is a common location for couples to go enjoy the view of the bay. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//I%20Bay%20Town%20Monument.jpg align=baseline> This region of the city located just south of downtown contains the city's oldest subdivisions and homes. Most homes in this area while medium wealth in residents, in fact contains the most highly prices real estate simply due to the age of the area, with most homes being worth more then $300,000. This area has become somewhat noisy in recent times due to increased traffic along main street and commercial developing a few blocks away in downtown, but to most resident's is considered one of the best places to live in the city short of a bayside property. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Old%20Neighborhoods.jpg align=baseline> This area of town located at the intersection of Main Street and the Iridium City Expressway is often referred to as the town-buffer. It is an area between the south prairie and downtown that was never developed due to town elders roughly 40 years ago wanting to keep the town of south prairie and Iridium City separate towns. As a result the area is prohibited from being developed. This area is also the location of the town's first overpass, built nearly 45 years ago when the Iridium City Expressway was just a divided four lane road with a grass median. In modern times, roughly 10 years ago the Expressway was upgraded into a six lane highway and the overpass was replaced. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//First%20Overpass%20and%20T%20Buffer%201.jpg align=baseline> Second View of the Town-Buffer. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//First%20Overpass%20and%20T%20Buffer%202.jpg align=baseline> Upper Bay Port and Airport. The Upper Bay Port was constructed 45 years ago to provide an expansion to the city's seeming unquenchable thirst for industrialization. The new port provided thousands of new industrial jobs, and provided a manufacturing center for the city to help develop larger scale construction projects among which included the highway upgrade to the Iridium City Expressway (15-30 years later), and the Iridium City Airport (17 years later). The airport was built as an addition to the Upper Bay Port, and provides a runway for aircraft to fly over the bay, inland, and to remote research stations located a hundred miles south and north of the city. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Upper%20Bay%20Port%20and%20Airport.jpg align=baseline> Iridium Bay lighthouse helps guide ferry boats and freight ships at night though the bay. The lighthouse however, is more of a town icon then a navigational guide, which was built nearly 50 years ago. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//I%20Bay%20Lighthouse.jpg align=baseline> When the city started to develop towards the north, many residents wanted a new city park to play sports and jog along a track at. Nearly 50 years ago Ancestry Park was erected to satisfy the townspeople and to help develop a more naturalized image for the city in light of rapid town growth. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Ancestry%20Park.jpg align=baseline> Overlooking the town from high ground and providing cell-phone, radio communications, and to connect to the town's five orbital satellites, the town's radio tower and satellite dish have provided the town with communications since the the establishment of the town nearly 75 years ago. The 650 foot tall antenna is the tallest structure in the region. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Antenia%20and%20Sat%20Dish.jpg align=baseline> While not the town's first water tower, this Iridium City Water Tower to many resident's still is viewed of as a symbol of progress to most of the town, and to this date still provides nearly two thirds of the regions water supply. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//I%20City%20Water%20Tower.jpg align=baseline> -
City of Titan Regional View. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Regional%20View.jpg align=baseline> Regional Features. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Future%20Regional%20Development.jpg align=baseline> Downtown Close-up https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Central%20Region%20Close-Up.jpg align=baseline> Introduction: Welcome to the City Journal for the city of Titan. Titan is my latest city journal, covering a great costal city/ colony of Titan. Titan is the largest city on a terra-formed world located several hundred light years from earth. Titan is a vast port city build as a commerce port for the furthest human colonies. My inspiration for this city was how the city of Seattle, Washington was built and designed. Like Seattle, downtown is built in an area with water surrounding most sides of the city, and in an area with a fairly mild climate, and used extensively as a port. Downtown is built in an low lying area with access to several bodies of water. My plans for this city include developing an extremely dense downtown corridor along the Denbus and Ambois Peninsulas, and outer suburban areas along the the coasts of Morgal and Upper Morgal Bay, I'tarus Bay, and the Tedian Gulf, as well as heavy development on the Teller Passage. As far as population goals, I am aiming at a metro area population of around 3.5 million. History: Titan is located on the terra-formed world of Mercuriam, which is the second planet of a seven planet system located several hundred light years from earth at the extreme outer edge of the Earth Space Coalition. The planets terra-forming began in 2463 by the Habitation Space Guild Corporation to create a habitable world in a system rich in rare metals and ditarium fuels. Due to discoveries of vast quantities of elements including Iridium, Tungsten, Osmium, Plutonium, Gold, and the Crystalline fuels of Ditarium, the company wanted to create a suitable world to use for processing, and refining of the materials for shipment into the inner colonies. The terra-forming process required 25 years to transform a world the size of Venus with a very toxic atmosphere with volcanic gases into a human and life supporting world. By the year 2488 the atmosphere and introduction of microorganisms, created a primitive biosphere. An additional 25 years were required for plant life to grow forests and oceanic biomasses. After which animal and human life were introduced. Colonization began in the year 2515 with the establishment of three industrial stations located in the southern hemisphere. Titan, Morgal City, and New Terra were the three stations built. Due to the extreme location of the world, for the first decade only a few thousand people lived around each station. By 2525, the Mercuriam System had become one of the largest suppliers of many metals and fuels for the outer territories, and people began to move to the world due to the commercial opportunities. Discoveries of platinum, and massive veins of Titanium on the planet further lead to a population boom. By the year 2620, the planet was the most well known mining and port world of the outer territories. Nearly several million people were living on the planet and the three stations had become small cities, with numerous other stations being built at other locations on the planet. During the next century Mercuriam was classified as a sub-home world of the Earth Space Coalition, and the capital of the beta region of the outer territories, with more then 30 million people living in five cities and many small towns across the planet. Titan became the largest and most successful of all the cities, and became the planet capital in the year 2680. Location and Climate: Titan is located at the conjunction of three large seas and the Tedian Mountain Range. The location of roughly 1,750 miles south of the planet equator and located in a sub-tropical region. Winters are mild and dry, and summers hot, rainy, and humid. The area is prone to tropical storms and every decade or so a category 1 or 2 hurricane. The Tedian mountains are a volcanically active range, with one active volcano located within the metro area. The southwest portion of the metro area also known as the Celtic flats are a crumpled area of land, that was created from an asteroid impact several million years ago, that melted the planets thin crust resulting in large folds in the ground. With no erosion due to water at the time, the folds are still relatively well preserved, the flats however, are being pushed into the Tedian Mountains due to tectonic drift, which is one of the reasons the range is volcanically active.

Update 01.01 Year: 2516 AD The mineral processing center went on-line earlier this year and began refining the first shipments of raw ore. So far the plant is running only at minimal capacity, primarily do to a lack of workers, and significant construction stilling being required for the facility. So far nearly 1,300 workers are being employed at the facility, and production is scheduled to gradually increase from the current 5.8% capacity to 8% by next year. An additional 2.5% increase in production is scheduled over each following 6 month period until the plant is at or above 100% operational. After workers began moving in, there was a desire for some to live outside of the facility, therefore a small town was built on the other side of the Rabil Straight on the Denbus Peninsula for workers whom did not wish to live within the center. This has resulting in many vacant units in the constructed worker housing building, less then 30 out of 800 units are currently occupied. It is expected that more will move in as the center's production capacity increases. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Titan%20Center%20Night.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Headquarters%20Night.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Town%20of%20Titan.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Downtown%20Night.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Regional%20View%20Trans%201.jpg align=baseline>

Update 01.00 Year: 2515 AD Over six year of construction on the Titan Mineral Processing Center is nearing completion. The faculties space ports, water, food, power, communication, and mineral purification centers are complete, as well as fuel and transportation system. Construction still remains on refining, smelting, and other manufacturing facilities. Complete construction is expected to take an addition year or so before the facility is able to begin processing mineral mined in the systems asteroid belts. Currently a mass employment program is in effect to hire experienced miners, freight pilots, supervisors, metallurgists, chemists, and other high paying positions. Provided below are pics of the facility in it's current status. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Closeup%201.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Closeup%202.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Closeup%203.jpg align=baseline> https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Closeup%204.jpg align=baseline>

News about the journal. I have some unfortunate news regarding Crystal Junction, and that news is simply there will probably not be any more updates to this journal, at least not for a while anyway. My work and social schedules do not allow me much time to spend on the computer, which is one of the reasons it took so long to post a reply regarding this journal. I know all my fans are going to be disappointed, but I just do not have the time to commit to something as invloved as this journal. I would like to thank all of you who posted replays, offered suggestions, or participated in the votes, that helped quiet a bit at developinging this journal. But to leave some hopeful news, if I get the time in the furture, I will be creating a new journal for Crystal Junction to pick up where this journal left off.

City Update 24.2: Bridging the Gulf Between Two Cities Right now i've completed the first phase of connecting Sandy Ridge with Crystal Junction. I've started development along Freeway 248 for housing in the center of the space between the two cities. I've also worked on spreading Crystal Junction North and Westward in the area, as you can see along the northern rim of the urban sprawl. Sandy Ridge has also expanded some along freeway 11 and 248. Currenty the population within Sandy Ridge has risen to 70,883, and Crystal Junction city limits (not metro area) is arround 525,000. Early Phase 1 Middle Phase 1 Late Phase 1
