  1. Ring Roads

In my newest city, the highways all form a loop around the core of the city. It works well because if someone on the south side works in an office on the north side of the CBD, he can hop on the freeway and zip around downtown to a closer exit. It keeps through traffic out of the busy city.
  2. My 4 Layer City Build Plan

Yes I use NAM. This city really didn't turn out how I liked. It was hard to keep the wealthy sims out of the lower area. It also has severe traffic issues. One of my highways has 25000 commuters. I've been reading the CJs lately though, and I think I might make one for my new project. Here is how the city turned out if your interested: (.png so I'm not sure if they will show up here)

Wikipedia has rules, and those rules need to be adhered to (whether they apply it to all articles is beside the point). I recall plenty of exposes for ST in major publications. All we need to do is have someone with a WP profile to go through the trouble to post some of these citations and show that this article is not full of garbage. I see everyone complaining and saying "let's post something", but has anyone done it? It seems so simple to do. A few posters in this forum have even indicated they are WP posters... Did I misread (I'm good at that...)? BTW, I do not have a profile and have never posted to WP, plus I do not have the time to find the articles. I'm sure someone else can! Barbarossaquote> I can edit and add sources, but i need someone else to find them for me.
  4. US Bank Tower Milwaukee WI

Wow thanks! I love seeing this building downtown. Once it was foggy and I was at summerfest, you could only see the US Bank sign. It was eerie.
  5. Save Simtropolis on Wikipedia!

I linked to the fansite listing and also the alexa data for the top four sites. I hope this is substantial proof.
  6. My 4 Layer City Build Plan

Yes, I will have some pictures tomorrow, I'm exhausted. Plus the game just crashed again, which is getting very annoying. The city is around 130,000 sims and about 75% zoned.
  7. My 4 Layer City Build Plan

I don't know about a CJ, lots of work goes into those. Plus this is just a single city.
  8. My 4 Layer City Build Plan

How do I take screenshots without the menu in the picture?
  9. My 4 Layer City Build Plan

I am working on it, but this darn game keeps crashing on me! It's so irritating.

  11. Charleston

Humble Beginnings... The farms the started it all... Newcomers arrive, expanding the small town. They bring Charleston's first ever businesses. New tax dollars allow the town board to commission the construction of a Police and Fire Department. The population approaches 1,000 souls, and the demand for farmland does not appear to be slowing down. Thanks for reading, and I hope you stick around to see this town transform into a thriving small city.
  12. Calipatria

I'd like to see a zoomed out photo to see the big picture. Great city by the way.
  13. New Haven

I've been spending a lot of time viewing this CJ. Wow am i impressed. You're all about pushing the limits, so this all just so amazing to me. My style is to recreate the feel of smaller typical american cities. I have one question for you though, how do you get the same building to pop up in rows infinitely like I've seen in some of these pictures?
  14. Charleston

800x600 is too small? I thought anything bigger would be a pain to see and load. Are you sure it isn't just you?
  15. Show us your most unique and creative transportation network!

Please tell me what you think. That round-about is right near a freeway exit and gets tons of traffic. There used to be a triangular intersection that wasnt cutting it. My commuter trains seem to be pretty popular too.
  16. Under Bridge Scenery

How do you (masterplan) and other people make the waterfront boardwalks like that? Can someone point me in the right place?
