I found the "They won your freedom" posters disgusting. I find using the leaders of the 1916 Rising in such a manner actually sickening. Sinn Féin posters are similarly ridiculous, with pictures of tanks. Libertas have been relying on pictures of children with bright, sad (and photoshopped to add more colour) eyes with the slogan "Irish independence 1922 - 2009?" These posters are enough to show that the 'No' side simply has no logical argument.

Although the King has complete discretionary power in all matters, Paranor Island does have a parliament. It was created by the king to facilitate the political needs of running a country. While technically wielding no power, Parliament runs the country on behalf of the King, taking care of day to day matters. The system of government is modeled on Paranor’s neighbour, the Republic of Ireland, with a proportional representation system. Parliament is made up of two hundread members, five from each constituency and elections are held every five years. After elections are held, Parlaiment appoints an An Chéad Aire (Prime Minister) who in turn appoints government ministers. Leah is the capital of the Kingdom and all government departments are are located here. Leah is also a economic, cultural, and educational centre and the city has a very long history.

Paranor Island was started on Simtropolis in June 2008, as the Kingdom of Paranor Island. Early on, it became an ambassador nation in the SimCity Journal Union and continues in this role almost a year later. When browsing early updates you will notice that the nation has changed a lot in the past year with several cities being restarted and the island's location changed. The most recent reboot, and most accurate information can be found in Update 52 of this CJ. This also includes a brief history of the nation and can be used as a good starting point for somebody to explore this CJ.
