Craig91 replied to Craig-Abcvs's topic in Simtropolis Related
Music? What music?...Is that why iTunes isn't playing music properly for me? -
Another great update with an excellent blend between the old and new buildings
-
Excellent update, who knew a Maxis BAT could be put to such good use
-
Northern Ireland is a bit different as not an overwhelming majority of people want Northern Ireland's position in the UK to change. There's pretty even numbers there...
-
I had an idea similar to this but that puts anything I would have built to shame. That is really amazing
-
Oooh, me likey That plaza looks great, as does the financial district. Also, gotta love the newspaper. ***** update...that's supposed to mean 5 star, not something else...just in case...kinda looks like, you know...

The Simlympic Torch Relay is a huge event taking place in over 30 CJs/MDs all around the SC4 world. The Torch Relay will be at a different city each day for 31 days, climaxing with the beginning of the December Simlympics on December 16th. For more information on the Simlympics, or to sign up to compete, please click here. For this leg of the journey, the torch comes to Anora, the northernmost city of Paranor Island. This is the route the torch will take traveling through Anora It landed at Anora International Airport, in the east of the city. When traveling over the Tholan River Bridge, the torch was greeted by the relay logo hanging from the bridge tower. It pass through Anora City Centre, being greeted by thousands of spectators. The relay ends it's journey through Anora with a large celebration in Bannock Park Stadium. AT the celebration, there was a special performance by The Coronas, who will be representing Paranor in the Uniovision Song Contest.

Is it possible to have multiple downtowns?
Craig91 replied to De Ja Vu's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
In Dublin, some of the city's tallest buildings (which aren't very tall) are located in larger suburbs such as Tallaght (100,000) and Blachardstown (100,000). -
The reason why there's still tension between Ireland and Northern Ireland/Cathalics and Protestants is that a lot of people are dumb. Personally, I cannot remember the last time I heard an intelligent person say they hate the English because of the past. The kind of people who say or have things on their Bebo pages supporting the IRA, or even just saying Northern Ireland should be "given back" are all idiots. Again speaking from personal experience, dumb people tend to be the mouthiest and most noticeable. The way I see it, Northern Ireland is VERY different from the Republic. This doesn't have much to do with language or religion as neither are taken very seriously in modern Ireland, they're just two different cultures. If Northern Ireland ever left the UK, I think a Republic of Northern Ireland would be more likely and sensible than a whole island Republic of Ireland. I think this is something that people need to GET OVER. A united Ireland would be a mistake for both sides of the border and there's no point pursuing because of some ridiculous sense of vengeance against invaders who are LONG DEAD!

Veventum is a north-eastern city in the Republic of Paranor Island. With a population of 923,045 (city), it is the fifth largest city in the country and the smallest one with it's own city council. art128: And thank you as always Arthur starrychelx: Thank you I'm glad you're enjoying it. Stnggrl: Thanks a lot. suplado!: Thank you. SirUnger: Thanks mate. GreekMan: It would almost drive ytou crazy, every house being the same, but...you get used to it.

You're improving a lot Petrovan Ambassador but there's just one thing I think I may have said to you before. I think there's too many avenues, but then again that could be more preference than realism.
-
Look at the dates Petrovan Ambassador, this CJ was last updated 10 months ago. The author has a new CJ now, as you can see in his signature.
-
Looking good DeJeVu, however I have a little bit of criticism. The number of grund level car parks seems a bit unrealistic for an area of that density. I think you should build some more multi-storeys and maybe fill the other car parks up with medium density buildings

Something a little different today, the natural side of Paranor. Innis Lug is an island at mouth of the River Tholan, just south of Anora City Centre. The island is National Heritage Site, as it contains one of the oldest examples of civilisation on Paranor. The Temple of Lug is a shrine to the Celtic deity Lug (or Lugh) and it's architectural style is still somewhat of a mystery to archaeologists, as it differs greatly from most other structures of this era. un1: Thanks but it's still not as fast as I'd like JJC12321: I'm sure if you were on the round it would be easier GreekMan: I thought the same think, it reminds me of a bit at the start of one of the films Hawkeye9: Wow, that was enthusiastic. Thank you very much art128: Thanks as always Arthur. suplado!: Thank you. SirUnger: Thanks a lot. aiumkastarkius: Only the names lol fabsies55: If you read the update you should have realised that most of them pictures weren't mine, they were the different cities bidding for the Simlympics As for the buildings, this is a place you should really try out. threeswept: Thank you. Stnggrl: I'm glad you like them. blue sinjid: I'm afraid I can't remember, sorry. Also, could you please not post pictures in my CJ, as it REALLY annoys me. I would appreciate it if you could edit your post to change it to a link to the picture. newyorkrunaway1: I appreciate it, thanks. Archean: Thanks for commenting, sorry your choice didn't make it lol Petrovar Ambassador: I actually don't really like Apples, they just have good marketing
