The state has given its official resignation earlier today and wishes the union good luck on its quest to end all corruption. Yesterday at approximately 6:00PM Newport Time, the NRBC Headquarters in Newport City recieved a video tape what they believe was from the Newport Communist Army. The video featured a man in uniform who claimed "the NCA will be controlling the country once again.." The video was shown on NRBC's USCN Tonight at 08:20PM. They belive the communists have returned. Last year in May of 2006, the Newport Communist Party gained control of the executive branch of the Newport government with the election of their leader. On May 2, 2006 after their leader's inauguration, he ordered the secession of the Region of Newport and formed the Communist Republic of Newport. Two days later on May 4, 2006, the city of Corona was chosen as the capital of the Republic of Newport or Southern Newport. They declared war on Northern Newport on the same day. The war lasted unil June 4, 2006 when the Republic of Newport surrendered at the battle of Quiln where the General of the Southern Army was killed in action. With the defeat of Southern Newport, the country was separated for three months until the sparking of the Great War where Southern Newport finally defeated the North and reunified the nation. Newport Inteligence (NI) is currently analysing the video. More news later.
