Thanks again for the comments. Please bear with me... this update is large as I wanted to get through a lot of content in a single update. By the way, see the first picture below? Any ideas on how to fill in that space between the highways? I was thinking of putting in a long pond of some sort. What I'd prefer is something with more of a concrete/industrial look, but that would be able to go UNDER the highways as well. Any ideas? DEXINGTON - RIGHT ACROSS THE RIVER: Shown in these pictures are the portions of Dexington that are right across the river from Andremore. DEXINGTON - STRAUSS: Strauss is primarily a residential community on the higher density end compared to the areas in the north and west sections of Dexington. Strauss has a subway station but it is not exactly centrally located. DEXINGTON - LES PAUL: Les Paul is the only other major commercial corridor in Dexington other than downtown, and Les Paul is not all that large. It just has a few large commercial buildings but they are enough to really make the traffic in the area annoying. Especially combating the inbound Andremore traffic as well. DEXINGTON - LOWER LES PAUL: Lower Les Paul sits in the armpit of the 80/815 Interchange. You would think that the land value here would be extraordinary because of the close proximity to downtown Andremore, but the traffic works a number on the land value. DEXINGTON - RIVERVIEW: Riverview, named because of its seat on the river (which used to be much longer but has since dried up significantly) is not as plagued by traffic noise as Lower Les Paul. Land values are higher on this side particular because of that and the views of Andremore's extraordinary skyline. The amenities lend this area to a more upscale crowd as well as opposed to a more middle class crowd. DEXINGTON - PRINCETON: Yet another upscale Dexington neighborhood. This and Riverview are the most expensive areas of Dexington to live. The newest highway in the area thus far is I-180... consisting of a bridge from Princeton right downtown. When you have the funds and the political power, you can make things happen. They also added a modern subway station to ensure that they have absolutely no commuting issues. DEXINGTON - CHROMIA: In the midst of these residential areas is Dexington's largest and most affluent industrial area, Chromia. It is like a sea of high tech development.

This journal is frickin' unbelievable! I really like the snow scene and how the highways are surrounded by trees. The cities are very realistically done and your camera work is on point! You get three thumbs up! (Yes... three.) Where did you get that cool building that looks like Chong, Inc. but it's triangular?

Thanks! Very nice comments! DEXINGTON - BELLE GLADE: Belle Glade is your typical suburban neighborhood still with a semi-urban feel. Being in so close to the city, the urban planning is still about crowding more people into a small space, but offering up more privacy than the inner city. And the traffic isn't much better. DEXINGTON - BAYVIEW: This is Bayview. It is a small community consisting of three fork-road neighborhoods that are accessible only from Dexington Parkway. They sit and overlook the inlet. Very scenic... just don't touch the water. Ytterbia is right up the coast, so if you enjoy having ten fingers and ten toes, heed my warning. Cecilia Inlet is kinda like the Potomac River in that way. DEXINGTON PARKWAY: This is the Drac Avenue exit off of Dexington Parway. It provides access to Gibson, a suburb of Dexington. It also runs past I-15 and into the north suburbs. Dexington Parkway takes you all the way to the tip of Renheight Peninsula. It also provides the only access to Ytterbia via the next exit.

I will definitely be delving more into the mass transit system. I posted another picture w/n the previous update that I forgot to provide last night. DEXINGTON - YTTERBIA: Ytterbia is Dexington's major industrial manufacturing area. There is another large industrial area on the southwest end of Dexington called Metallica, but this is a high-tech industrial area. Ytterbia is also contains Dexington's wharf and port. Many of the commercial goods of Dexington come in through Port of Andremore, but much of its food comes in through the wharf. Ytterbia also has the regions main water treatment and pumping facilities. The Region has grown beyond these facilities' capacities, and much like Andremore's airport, another will be built in a more suburban area to allow for enough space for growth.

DEXINGTON - SUBWAY SYSTEM: The Blue Line (first picture) runs from the north through downtown Dexington and down into Andremore. The Blue Line stations in Dexington include (in the order shown below) Drac Avenue Station, Santana Street Station, North Dexington (NoDex) Station, South Dexington Station (SoDex), and more (check for future updates).

DEXINGTON: This is the first suburb that I am going to talk about. Dexington is the large city right across the river from Andremore. However, downtown Dexington is a little farther north than what we've been able to see so far. Here are the city's limits: DEXINGTON - DOWNTOWN: Downtown Dexington sits overlooking Cecilia Inlet off of Burruss Bay. I-15 cuts right through the downtown area providing easy access to Andremore. DEXINGTON - DOWNTOWN - BAYWALK: The Baywalk is a spot where people come from all over to do some hardcore up-scale shopping and rent boats to go out on the bay. It also features high-class restaurants and several businesses. DEXINGTON - CORNELIUS CEMETERY:

Thanks for the great comments. Greekman: When you say "have a transportation post of everything in the city," do you mean speak to all elements of the transportation network? For example, I did not mention the I-305 Spur, nor the elevated rail and subway system. I think that's a great idea. ANDREMORE - MIDTOWN: The entertainment center of the city. The best night clubs are here in the livest section of town. The only thing this area does not have is the BORG Entertainment Center which is located in Hilton. There have been talks of moving this down to Midtown, but the locals in Hilton and Colony Square (the area directly east of Hilton) ain't havin' it. The movie stars also refuse to give it up as it is a hangout spot for the stars that make magic at the movie studio right on the cusp of Hilton and Colony Square. ANDREMORE - MIDTOWN - CLUB SCENE: This is a closer-in shot of the club scene. The green power plant is a classic example of power plant turned club. The Microwave is a new club that has just opened... it also happens to serve much of the Region's power needs. Each of the six rooftops is a dance floor with a different musical theme and there is a central dance floor inside where the bars are. The amount of money they bring in nightly helps pay for the security costs associated with protecting the plant. ANDREMORE - MIDTOWN - RONICA PARKWAY: I have scratched the surface of the major arteries that flow traffic through the city... focusing primarily on the interstates. Andremore also relies heavily on its parkways. These are controlled access avenue that are typically noted by their being surrounded by trees as they are maintained as parks. This parkway in particular starts in a suburb called Ronica and goes through Loston, Rosarita, Midtown, and ends in Adelphi Park where it splits into two one way streets coursing through Bowling Green to Marton. In the first and second pictures, you can see how it winds through Rosarita past the country club and around Kensington Park. In the third and fourth pictures, you can see how it cuts through Adelphi Park to the Northwest of Midtown. ANDREMORE - KENSINGTON PARK: I just wanted to throw a picture of Kensington Park in. It is a very affluent area that's very close to Midtown. There is a University campus here as well. The second picture shows Kensington Research Center. You can see that these neighborhoods still have a griddy design because they are still part of the inner city. We're not at the suburbs yet, but we're getting there!

ANDREMORE - WESTON: Weston, situated off of I-81, was once a ghetto - high density low-class residential adjacent to polluting industries, but as time progressed and land values in the city climbed, the winds changed. Weston is attempting to become the center for high-class shopping but it is still overshadowed by the downtown shopping districts and suburban malls. We'll see how things go. One more dense residential area to go, and that's Midtown. Then I'll get into some of the less densely populated areas and then the suburbs!

ANDREMORE - EASTON: This is Easton, a large commercial district to the east of Midtown on Kimberly Peninsula and right off I-5/I-405. This is the area that will be converted to an Education center in the near future. Once the zoo is complete, this area will be flourishing with museums and artsy establishments.

I'm having trouble putting into words a way to describe this city. It has an old-fashioned, small town charm, the colors are nice, it's quaint, and it seems like a nice place to live.

I saw some other CJs with these great airports and I was thinking WHERE DID THEY GET THAT! If you have any suggestions, let me know. I think I downloaded the correct ones. That is my next project.

Thanks ya'll. outriderdriver: For the ports, I used the PEG-CDX Seaports pack. That in combination with the regular in-game seaports at the tips. I'll take some more pictures of the port closer up.

ANDREMORE - I-205: This is I-205 cutting through the inner city, separating Andremore Hills (left) and Bowling Green (right). This view is from the north. Also shown in the first two pictures is Walter Grace Cemetery. The last picture is a view from the south of the inbound traffic on this very busy highway that stretches from the Beltway (I-5/I-405) through Bucy, Sheraton, Midtown, and ends in Hilton. ANDREMORE - COMPTON SQUARE: Most of the residential neighborhoods in central Andremore look similar to this. Lots of town homes, row homes, medium sized apartments/condos, and a dotting of high rise apartments/condos. ANDREMORE - I-81/I-105: This highway separates Compton Square (left) from Bowling Green (right). On the other side of the tunnel is Marton. South of the east-west running portion of I-81/I-105 is Adelphi Park. ANDREMORE - I-15/I-81/I-105: This is the interchange for I-15 (left), I-81 (bottom-left), I-105 (bottom-right) and I-81/I-105 (top-right). ANDREMORE - I-15/I-80/I-815: I-15 is coming from the top-right and goes straight south. I-80 is coming from the top-left and goes east across the river downtown providing exits for Chinatown and Hilton. I-815 is coming from the left and goes straight into downtown turning into an avenue providing exists for Lexus Square and Marton.

ANDREMORE - LEXUS PLAZA: This is the oldest section of downtown. This is where all of the city government and county government office buildings are. It is a very small corridor nestled between the giants---Hilton and Marton. ANDREMORE - CHINATOWN: Due north of Lexus Plaza is Chinatown. You can see inbound traffic on I-80 headed to the stadium for a baseball game that evening. The final picture is of that night, the stadium in use next to the Hilton skyline (this was pre-WTC).

Thanks again, for all the comments. mencc1701: Any strange interchanges I used are found in the NAM. The parkway interchanges (which have not been posted yet because I have not reached the southwest side of the city which is less urban) were all done manually. For the purposes of my city journal, "parkway" refers to a controlled access avenue while "highway" refers to the in-game highways. I can't wait to show everyone the rest of the city. Things are interesting downtown, but even more-so further out.

ANDREMORE - MARTON: The first pictures shows the most heavily used exit off of I-81 into central Marton. The second picture gives you an idea of how cluttered Marton is. Though Hilton has more and taller buildings, Marton has a much more dense organization of office towers. Back in the older days, they were concerned more about economics and less about aesthetics and atmosphere. As time progressed to the construction of Hilton, the taller buildings were spaced more thoughtfully and more focus was put on corporate leisure. Ground level parks are scarce because of the lack of sunlight, so buildings typically come equipped with rooftop parks for workers to escape the grind and eat lunch.

There are approximately 2.27 million residents in the area. I am trying to update so I can show more of the inner city's residential areas, but Imageshack is acting up right now. Thanks for the comments!

ANDREMORE - HILTON: There are areas down by the Waterfront, where the World Trade Center is. As you can see, Waterfront-bound traffic is heavy day and night due to the number of popular, expensive shops and the marinas.
