Hidden Building Foundations

Can anyone tell me how to make my box building not show a foundation when my terrain conforming lot is placed on a slope ? I figured out how to hide the building in the BAT so you don't see it in the game but I can't figure out how to hide the foundation like the dummy buildings in the park lots that come with the game. Thanks.

I think you can set this option in Lot Editor rather than GMAX - it is all related to the Foundation and Elevation Change options under the first tab in LE.  I'm not ver familiar with these options but I'm sure the Help for LE will explain how to use these parameters.

Here's a pic to illustrate what I'm talking about. The LE controls the foundation for the lot (which in this case is set to 90 so the lot conforms to the slope completely) but does not have any settings for the building on the lot (least that I'm aware of).

You can select the foundation of a building in the Plugin-Manager.

I don't want to select a value for the building foundation. I want a transparent or hidden or invisible building foundation. E.g., I want the building foundation to conform to the slope of the terrain. I checked the value for the buildings foundation and it was set to zero. Not sure what that means (it's supposed to be the ID of the texture) but as you can see from the pic, a foundation does show when the building is on a slope.

    EDIT: 8/27/05
After going back and looking at the building exemplars for the Maxis Grass and Cement lots, I finally noticed that the Maxis lots that have slope conforming buildings have a Resource Key Type 0 property and they all have the same values. I also noticed that some have both a Resource Key Type 1 property (e.g. they have both a type 0 and a type 1 ) .... so ... just for the heck of it, I copied and pasted the Type 0 property record into the building exemplar of one of my lots containing one of my simple box buildings and viola !!!, the building foundation no longer showed when I plopped the lot on a slope. The one problem I found though, and I haven't figured it out yet is that the building foundation will show (at all zoom levels) if I plop the lot at zoom level 5 (zoomed in all the way). However, if I plop the lot at any other zoom level, the foundation never shows (at any zoom level). Kinda odd, but I can live with it for now. Now I don't need to do the LTEXT thing anymore (for addressing this issue anyway). However, if and when I figure out the zoom issue, I'll come back and post the findings here.

    EDIT: 03/20/06
I finally figured this puppy out and I can't believe how long it took me to stumble across the correct solution. While copying a type 0 record into the exemplar does what i said it does (and it's interesting that it does that), the correct solution is much simpler.
In going back and looking at the Maxis grass and cement type lots I noticed that all the building foundation property values were the same. So I looked up the foundation and lo and behold ... it's the null foundation (like making a building hidden in the BAT).
So I set the building foundation property value in my lots to this value and the building foundation never shows when these lots are placed on slopes. No type 0 record is needed.
And ... oh ... yeah ... before I forget (lol) the value is: 0x194B1000 and you'll want to make sure you set  the Building Foundation property to this value in both the building exemplar and the lot exemplar.
