If you visit the big cities in China (Shanghai, Beijing etc.) all you will see is 1) Volkswagen, and 2) GM (locally made and often badged GM Shanghai or similar). Both are made in plants in China (both near Shanghai from memory). I can't say that I've noticed locally produced cars; lots of small trucks, but no cars (they may be in other parts of the country).

To get back on topic, I must admit to normally being disappointed with the local car shows. Australia is a long way away from anywhere, so our car shows end up being the showrooms from all manufacturers in one place with maybe one or two exotic prototypes to draw the crowds in.

Wow, thanks for all the replys everyone, I don't have time to make personal comment cause I gotta go to work in ten minutes, then I have school tommorow, but I'll update in the afternoon. i show I'm going to is between Feb. 2-12 so I'll have my pics soon, and if I can find some from last year I'll put them in too.
