That is rather strange, have you fiddled with the tax rates? If you have a city with nothing but Res, and Com. your Ind. should be through the roof!!!

This is a remedial question, but are your neighbor connections in place?
Also, what's your population of your residential/commercial city? Maybe there isn't enough demand.
Find out where they are driving to for their jobs...

Lastly, educate, educate, educate your Sims.
Your industrial city should be exploding, so your circumstance is a bit odd.30.gif

Aint it? I thought the same thing... even if his sims are idiots, they know enough that they need to work in industrial jobs, that industry bar should be on cloud 9

do u have any industrial demand. Its one of those stupid things that we can sometimes forget 1.gif1.gif. Its normal. If not, do u have power or industry in the original city?

When you start your first city (or at least when I start my first), just about all you can build is industry. Once you educate your Sims, they will begin to demand more commercial. But even educated Sims will demand some sort of industry. So how in the heck you built your first city without industry and and why your second city doesn't demand it doesn't make sense. Unless you are using custom made building that messed with the demands. That is the only thing that would make sense. So without knowing for sure, my only suggestion can be get rid of the mods.

You could try raising the demand cap, by building neighbour connections, eg rail, highway. Once you have reached a demand cap the RCI bar tends to hit zero even if there is need for industrial jobs. Raising the demand cap may restart growth.
