Interchange modifications

Has anyone ever tried to modify (or add) a new interchange design? I know that the diamond-style and the cloverleaf work well, but I always thought this was too boring, and that we needed some others (like 1/2 cloverleafs for intersecting roads) and full-blown diamond-stacks (texas-style) for freeway-freeway interchanges.

If anyone has tried this, what were the results?

I find that because of the limited style, and the fact I don't like the design of the highways (especially in rural areas) I've actually made my freeways using the one-way roads (incl. the mods for removing the arrows and the transit-fix to improve transitions) and I find I can make very realistic looking interchanges (of many types) with little problems.

Comments?

Welcoom to Simtropolis. The Network Addon Mod (NAM), see above, functionally does what you're talking about. Also, using the NAM you can make your own interchange using single off-ramps, one way roads, etc. Look around game experiments forum, and some of the city journals for ideas. There's no end to the possibiliities.

Try looking in the Modding files or Greyveil's Site on the NAM. Or jus go to the Network Addon Mod General Disscussion Thread. (NAM General Disscussion Thread).

Yes you do have to read the instructions very carefully, I am not sure what you mean but I think the answer is yes.

I mean can cars freely move from one highway to the other?

They will be able to travel in any direction that the ramps allow them to travel.
