Help help with patch 4gb

Help!!

I installed patch 4 gb and downloaded the exe file to SimCity 4 deluxe. 
After that, the game stopped starting. what can it be and how to fix it???

I installed the 4gb patch exactly as shown in the video, but the game still doesn't work ((

Are you by any chance using a pirated version of SimCity 4?

The backup files from installing the patch are present, so it was likely installed.  You appear to be using the CD version of SC4, which isn't supported by many community mods. But I don't know if the copy protection in the CD version would cause issues after patching the executable.

Based on the presence of the SafeDisc files, it looks like the CD version. A pirated version would have likely stripped the copy protection.

Safedisc was disabled in Win10, I think.  So there's probably no way to run that executable anyway nowadays.  Better get the GOG version.

This game was already in a disassembled state when I downloaded it. 
But nowhere on the Internet is it written that the patch may not work on such versions.
 

at the end of patch installation there is a message that everything is done well, the date on the exe file changes, but the game does not load.

The use of pirated versions means that Maxis patches are not available, and therefore mods will not work on pirated versions.

We recommend purchasing a digital version of SC4 from GOG or Steam.
