My statue is gone from the menu! Any idea why?

I demolished a statue for redevelopment purposes but as I was looking for it to put back, the mayor statue appeared nowhere in the menu! What caused it to disappear like it and how can I get it back? Thanks.

I think you need to let the game run for a few months so it can reestablish the fact that you've earned it. Either that, or you no longer meet the conditions for the statue.

I thought that just grays the statue out in the menu options. But do you know for sure that the statue really doesn't appear at all there when a player does what I did?

If you're talking about the first mayor statue you get, I think there's a bug that prevents it from showing up again if it's destroyed. All the other statues will reappear again in your menu if you destroy them (as long as you meet the conditions), but I don't think the first statue ever shows up again. At least, it hasn't in any of my games.

You'll have to use the you don't deserve it cheat.

Bones, thank you very much for letting me know. Is there a mod that fixes the bug? If not, can someone create one? I feel that entering cheat codes onto my cities will rapidly evaporate the "fun factor" in this game.

of course, this cheat is for fully legitimate purposes so why would it eliminate the fun factor?

When I upload my city someday, some sites detect whether cheating was ever used or not. I'd rather not cheat. I'd just like a mod that'll fix that statue bug.
