Whats happenin!!

When i installed tht update for SC4, everything seemed fine until i started playing and then all the new houses and civic buildings including plazas etc. had nothing on it just the building nothing else just bare, did i do something wrong by installing tht update??? i have SC4 deluxe edition by the way

You need to install the right SKU Update.

- North America, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Australia, and New Zealand users should download the sku 1 update.
- South America, Africa (except South Africa), Europe, Russia, Mexico and Central America users should download the sku 2 update.
- Korea, Thailand, Tawain, and (some parts of) Hong Kong users should download the sku 3 update.
- mainland China users should download the sku 3 update.
- Japan users should download sku 5.

Don't forget that you need to be product registered first.

And if you are, then click here to find out what the file sizes and version should be after updating your game.

thanks for the reply, ya i did download the sku 1 update, also i regestered before my cd key but it didnt let me download tht light patch so i put in my cd-key and it says its in use or its the wrong one

I have I believe the same problem, I have the US deluxe edition, and did update with the file UPDATE_SKU1_TO_P1_B638.EXE, and then applied the SC4Update4BAT.exe file. All the new buildings, plazas, small parks, etc lost most or all of their props (but the ones built prior still had them). I also noticed that some lots got their textures swapped. For example, one of the mall lots's parking lot texture got swapped for a plaza texture.

I had to reinstall the game to fix the problem.

I haven't reapplied the updates (just forgot), probably a good thing I guess since it appears that even applying the correct patches broke the game.

Well, folks, this is a known thing. The update 1 download resets your graphics options to low. Go fix 'em and you should be OK.

The patch solves a lot of problems. Go look at the manual download page for a list. You may want it, after all.

If you download it, just reset your graphics options to high again.
