Antwerp Cathedral

Hi,

 

I was just going through the STEX - files and found a replica of the Cathedral of Antwerp.

I love the view of the picture of it in SC4, it is beautiful.

 

Only down side about it : This picture is NOT The cathedral of Antwerp.

 

How I know this :

 

Look at the building in SC4. It has two equal Height towers.

Just like a normal cathedral built in the gothic era.

 

 But if you take a look at a real picture of the cathedral

 

Then you can see this cathedral has only 1 fully built tower.

 

The reason is that when the cathedral was being built, the original thought was building two towers, just like every other cathedral of that time.

But due to a lack of money, the second tower was never finished at full height.

 

(you see, SC4 is not the only place where you have lack of money )

 

Maybe this could be a request in the STEX???

 

PS Please note that I DO like the thing I found in the STEX, it is something that I will certainly use in one of my cities. It's beautiful, and I could not have done it better (not even close)

But I just wanted to note that it isn't the Antwerp Cathedral either...

IMO, Xannepan's recreation is even more majestic and stunning than the original.  When I've added it to my cities, I've just been struck by the beauty of not one tower, but TWO.
