Problem with custommade lots...

I am currently making some custom lots called walkway's and have transit enabled them, but I want them to use them before any row houses or commercial...

Now when I do so, the houses won't grow because they say that they can't get to those lots, but the provided ingame screenshot of those lots tell me otherwise...

Can someone help me with this? How can I make the lots so, that everything can grow behind it, like the pedmalls?

    look for the attached screenshot!

It's not possible to provide access to buildings via a transit enabled lot. On the contrary, such a lot actually blocks road access, like the in-game tollbooths, or the bus stations that can be placed directly on a road. So unfortunately, it's not possible to create something like this.

Yes I thought of this also, but I wonder, why does it work with the use of pedestrian malls tiles? (provided with the NAM) I know those are modded on a special way to achieve that goal, but I wonder if this can also be done with my lots?

Is there another chance that I can alter the Pedmall tiles so that I can make them how I want them to look???

The pedmall tiles are no transit enabled lots, but they are actual network tiles. And as you (hopefully) have read in the readme file, they only work under certain circumstances: You can only use them for commercial and industrial zones, and the pedestrians have to enter or leave them via a mass transit lot. smoncrie and qurlix are working on draggable puzzle pieces, and maybe they could provide access to residential zones, too (just like the in-game streets and roads). It's still highly experimental, but some day, there may be way to overcome the restrictions. For now, it's not possible, as I said above.
