Has anyone tried to run Rush Hour on a G3?
I know the official requirement is for a G4, but I am curious if it runs on a G3 anyhow.

    It's been a while since I've posted...

I can only imagine how poorly RH would run on a G3.

I've got an old, 350Hz G4. I'm happy to have recieved Rush Hour, and I can report that it runs without any trouble on my machine...

except... it is *so* slow that is is unplayable. I can click on the road tool, for example, and then go get myself something to eat before the cursor changes... (and that's with a newly created city with 0 population... I can only imagine how slow it would run with a large population)

my city journal, Atalanthe, hasn't been forgotten, but I'll be getting another mac before I make any more progress...

Although technically the minimum is iMAC G4 or eMAC, I did install and run it on a iMAC G3. It ran, but it was almost too slow even with a small city. The scrolling rate lagged so bad.

    Hi,

    I run SC4 RH on my G3 B&W 350 MHz. It has a ATI Radeon 9200 PCI (128MB)
The computer has 1024 MB of RAM. Everything is on Low except the textures.
I have a large map going. The rendering is acceptable. 44.gif
