Using the terraform mod to build an elevated train station

.. at least sort of. I think it's a bit better than building a train station below the train tracks and having these weird slopes.

That looks great, significantly better than some of the bizarre slopes that happen whenever I try to build a station even on seemingly level ground.

Standby.

I used the fixed-level terraform tool (the one on the left) to get the ground to the level of the rails. A left click with this tool will increase ground level by exactly that amount. Then I placed the train station, afterwards used the smooth tool around it to turn the cliffs into a hill :)

I already made it look a bit better than in the picture, I'll post again when I have a "final" version.

A nice substitute for an EL-rail station, raise the ground instead.

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

I was planning on doing the same thing with some elevated inner-city rail. Just trying to figure out the logistical nightmare of space for the slopes of the roads. :)

LOL. It would scare the crap out of me to be walking on the pavement next to the street that connects the train station with the rest of the city.
