Why arent the forum rules here?

The Page above this one says the forum rules are here, but they are not. I did a search and found them in the General Discussion forum. But the above page's description for that forum said nothing about it containing the rules.

Just pointing this out since it seems they are in the wrong place or something...

Welcome to Simtropolis and thanks for taking the time to find the forum rules! I think the thread you are referring to was moved at some point, so perhaps it needs to be edited to direct folks to the rules' actual location.

Dirk for some reson decided to post the forum rules in SimCity 4 Genaral Discussion and the forum equitee in Simtroplois Releated.

 

I think they are not posted in here because only newbie's and newbie helpers really visit in here and not most people. The reason it mentions them in the forum discription is probabley just as it sounds good.

 

However you can find the full guide in the Omnibus  here and I am planning to make a better list of links to inportant threads which shall be posted in this forum.

Thanks for the Ommibus link. I only found the 'brief' list of rules in the General SimCity 4 Discussion forum.

Also, is there anyway to change my nickname from astotzer to something else? I tried, but it says it has been disabled by Admin, so I can't change it. I also tried to register under a new nickname, but the email never came, and I emailed this site 3 times with no responses.

No, I used a different one.

If you are using an hotmail address, then that will explain everything.  The site has some sort of technical issues with hotmail address.  If you have a gmail, or yahoo address, or another address connected with a different email client, use that one.

Also, if you want to change your name, contact the admins.  They can do that for you.

Probrably I might consider re-learning the forum rules. They look quite old. But there is one thing in common: no swearing, no racism, no abuse.

Your email account probably thinks that the Simtropolis registration email is spam.
