Its been a while since i played sim city and now i want to try some mods.

I have a problem tho, where exactly do you put mods?

Some say put them in SimCityData folder and others say to put them in SimCityUserData/Packages folder .... Which one is it?

I've heard that putting them in Packages folder might not work but then again I've seen mods that the creators say to never put them in SimCityData folder and others that say the other way around!

Im confused. Help!

All mods go in the SimCityData folder. 2 scrips go into the packages folder if your mod needs it. It should be packaged with it or tell you if it does. Any mod that lists their entire mod goes into the UserData/Packages folder is outdated. Ignore it.

if that folder do not work, use the same folder as the mod, works for me. or create two junctions if you know what that is =)

    Thank you for your replies!

I've decided to play with as little mods as possible, most mods dont seem to work that well (or at all), the ones im interested anyways.

They dont seem to even load every time i start a new game/city/region. Some do, some dont.

Some seem to start working mid game out of the blue ... So confusing.

Well, doesn't matter now, I've started to remember why i stopped playing this game in the first place.

No matter what i do the city comes down to a halt due to traffic problems.

I have Udon aswell and tried using the one way roads like i used to in sim city 4 and cities xl but it makes no difference, at some point everything just stops, emergency services stop getting to their destinations, fire is rampant throughout my city, people dieing because the ambulances can't get to them etc etc.

I thought maybe after a few years they would have fixed the problems with ai and traffic but apparently they did not. Too busy releasing useless dlcs apparently.

If you have any ideas and suggestions to give to solve traffic issues or if there are mods that i dont know of that help with that please share. Otherwise im gonna put this game away for good and get back to sim city 4 and cities xl.
