Tree Controller?

Okay, I am at a lost with this tree controller thing. Somehow, I've loaded a dat file with a type of evergreen trees in it that seeded evergreen trees. Now for some reason the trees that are seeded are dead looking. Does anyone know how to organize this mod so I can choose the type of tree and change it from time to time? The contents of my tree controller file:

DAT ¦ STC Coast Extended

DAT ¦ STC Coast Regular

DAT ¦ STC Inland

DAT ¦ STC River Extended

Can you give us the link to the tree controller that you downloaded? It helps if we know which one...

Maybe it's one of those tree mods that change the color depending on the season. Winter = dead looking?
