Need some tips, keep hitting the same issues (traffic, workers, etc)

Hi everyone,

 

I need some help because i keep hitting the same problems over and over again. For example my roads are packed, and i mean PACKED. My firetrucks or ambulances aren't getting anywhere, half of my town is residential but still i got more than 13000 open jobs and the game keeps yelling at me that it needs more workers.

I added some screenshots so please ,help me out here. I don't mind starting all over again if needed aslong as it solves my issues by a bit.

 

I also wanted to ask if it would work if i were to make cities based on just 1 thing, for example one with nothing but residents and a bit of shopping to keep em happy, i'm new to simcity so i got no clue how this game works ><

Q2: Is it possible to have cities that focus mainly on just 1 thing? For example import and trading or one that is mostly industrie (with the basic police and fire buildings ofcourse)  or even one with mostly just citizens (provided that i have busses going everywhere so they can commute), etc..

- If you have issues related traffic i advise my mod (My Guides) which helps you keep traffic away from your streets if you use it right

- i looked at your pics >> try a different style in laying down avenues/streets and try not to use 4-way interjections

What is wrong about my style in laying roads then? Except for the 3-4 way interjections, and i know that T sections is the safest way.

No style is wrong, if you experience no issues. If you have issues with traffic it is cause of your city design! Just try another style next time!

Intersections tend to slow traffic down causing back ups (this happens in real life as well).

The less intersections you have, the better your traffic flows.
