It seems that my description and how to use is still too complicated or not really understandable by everyone. Maybe anyone like to help to create a proper description of it. It would also help to have a how to use video instead of pics i believe, 'cause not everything the mod can do is easy to do. I do not know what i can do right now to help people understand my

Many 'do's - i am sorry for that ;)

A nice description of the mod by a guy from reddit!

    _BreakingGood_

I think it just provides a template layout for a perfect city with a maximum traffic efficiency to building density ratio.

Does anybody want to help me?

A nice German/Danish/Swedish blog community made a proposal, too.

This modular  is a template layout for traffic density efficiency through variable effective buildings complex,  including its mobility of smaller, larger, metropolies cities. This modular is really complex, he's  an 'management mod'.

Link to the blog is found here.

    Hej migaminic,

Thanks for linking to ours article. :) Your creating an fantastic effective mod to buildings density & density of traffic - I love it and liked... :)

Even in my bigger cities it works so great, my tourist city which had falter in the last few weeks and lost hers balance - she's revovering, the sims are happy again . I missed so much....

I see your mod as road  "layout" management as well, my jams gone.

I've a less air pullotion, it's a chain reaction in the postive sense. No traffic, non emissions.. ;)

This mod is very effective in all Areas, yep...

If i can helping out in future, so please let me know.

Thanks again for your brilliant work, Keep it up with the great work. :)

    Cheers

    Liz

Can you please make it possible to place 2 back to back LD on a curved road? Maybe you can make it just wider the curved mode tool's guides. It's really eyesore and inorganic to see those spaces between lots and it's impossible to fit them if you use curved roads. I hate grids...

Yea. Which layout do you prefer?

Now the layout looks like this:

    • roads 1st guide (2HD) 2nd guide (4HD)
    • low street 1st guide (1HD) 2nd guide (2HD)
    • med street 1st guide (3HD) 2nd guide (6HD)
    • high street 1st guide (1MT) 2nd guide (2MT)
    • avenue 1st guide (1HD) 2nd guide (2HD)
    • transition between avenues and low street

To explain the transition: it works if the value of the avenue is the same like the road/street.

I agree the basic guides are really crappy. :)

I also tried "Closer Road Guides". It resulted as same way as "My Guides". Curvy roads are a indispensible feature for modern looking sophistic cities so if it's possible i want to see 2 back to back buildings of all densities with a tightened gap between them. Your mod works excellent with the straight roads so is it possible to use different values for the curved roads tool and make it just a bit wider than the straight road tool?

I can think about other basic solutions like check boxes to select the distance etc. But i want this road guides thingy fixed in an acceptable way for all styles of layouts once and for all.

    Addition:

    LD Street : 1st guide (2LD) / 2nd guide (2HD)

    MD Street: 1st guide (1LD+1HD) / 2nd guide (1LD+2HD)

    HD Street: 1st guide (3HD) / 2nd guide (4HD)

The same goes for the "curvy roads" but differently the distance can be adjusted to safely fit in back to back buildings.

The problem with that is: no buildings fit in curves ;P

:/ Bummer. That's really sad. Can you adjust distances differently for straight and curvy road tools? If you can, can you pull curvy distance to a safe value to fit in two buildings?

2nd guide is always double the amount of the first guide :(

I do not see a benefit of that. I could make an extra package (and you would have to load the one you like) which has a slightly increased distance for each guide. Is it worth it?

Just to give an example of what i mean :D

I do not know which angle your curve has. I would have to make many mod versions to achieve a solution for every angle you know? ;)

I understood. Thank you for your interest. Maybe a complete different approach is necessary to solve the guides problem completely. I just hope that all our community's modders find ways to solve all the problems about the game.  ;)

I always use a average angle of a curve and can build houses there -> small, medium density.

The smaller is a curve with angle, it doesn't work so fine - > higher density..

The best solution to this would be the devs bringing in buildings that fit in positions where the angle is not 90 degree ;)

I uploaded the how to again. It's the old and confusing one. I won't make a new how to and i won't add a how to to the mod description anymore. Take the pictures as help from me for you.

    Hi tampy

    It is simple. :)

    1)  Install the mod as always  under well-known  path
Keep an eye on the pics. My  operating system is  windows 8.2, 64 bit  on AW machine, danish language

    2) Create a city and  build the  roads structure as shown in the template.

Lund is a older city, unfortunately was not able to change a lot of roads, because of my large industrial plants and airport.
Nevertheless, here also I could improve a bit . The gain and the mobility of the streets speak for themselves.. No jams

My project city is Bennys island, where my eyes are now focused. .
I'll construct the roads after the manual,  here and there I added my own variables and  ideas yet.. :)
The new road structure works very effective in just a few days, I have already reached the first luxury apartments.

Try it out and good luck.. :)

Thanks for the detailed tip!  I thought when you start the city you'll have the pattern,

    What are these?

    • roads 1st guide (2HD) 2nd guide (4HD)
    • low street 1st guide (1HD) 2nd guide (2HD)
    • med street 1st guide (3HD) 2nd guide (6HD)
    • high street 1st guide (1MT) 2nd guide (2MT)
    • avenue 1st guide (1HD) 2nd guide (2HD)
    • transition between avenues and low street

Thats the layout provided by 'My Guides'. You will see it ingame if you use the guides of your road/street/avenue. The value in bracket is the space the guide provides to you. HD means High Density building and MT means MegaTower.
The first guide always allows you to build the value in brackets, while the second guide always will be double the value of the first guide. The second guide also contains space for a road/street/avenue at the position of the first guide.

    @tampy..

megamin wrote already a response onto you.

Here's for you another example, how you can influence the road layout.

Together with the mod it's the highest perfection,, ;)

Thanks for the mod, very useful.

I'd love to have the avenue 1st guide spaced to (2HD) or (3HD) instead of  (1HD) because usually we don't put avenues so close each other.
