Welcome to Amoroff! This country is divised of many states that consist of many cities and towns. Many states make up Amoroff and it continues to grow with Sims by the scores! As of right now our population is about 1,800,000 to 2,400,000. Even I can't keep count because the population is always changing! It goes up some days, and goes down others. Amoroff has been a long lasting republic finding its begining about 1896 and since has been a slow growing country that has had wealth and prosperity since its birth. The lands of Amoroff have many natural resoures to spare and seem to be limitless! Below are links to other city journals that belong to Amoroff and it's people. City Journals from Amoroff may also be posted here as well as on my City Journal.

Even though these images are just to link to the cj section, I do like the style of them.

Thanks, I link them to the CJ section so we don't have to do our journals twice. I suppose adding journals to this would help our journals out but still.

Players are also welcome to join. Just message me for more info on how to join.

It's been a while since i posted anything but the next update for the Republic of Amoroff will be big. So far There have only been city jorunals of Fairview (Viridian Woods), the next update some time within the next week will include the regions of North Hampton (Cape Trinity), Discovery Delta, and South Hampton (Edgewater Bay). I will need time for these updates and it may take me a few days to make the journals. Patence is needed becase I have quite a few cities to make city journals for.

    State:                     Journals In development:

    North Hampton      2

    South Hampton     3 - 4

    Discovery Delta     2 - 3

    Titan Gorge             2 - 4

I am in the process of taking abundent pictures and these journals will have links to my city journal here.

A tiny teaser will be made sometime in the next 24 hours when I get the free time to do so, and for those of you who do not like to click on the picture links to the city journals page, I'll also have a miniature entry for each journal that I made, (I will not do any other person's journal for this as it is not my city journal, but feel free to check out their work on my city journal's page). This part will be ready to go sometime in the next day or two also. I've just been busy with things so it's been a while for me to get on SC13 to make these things, and it's a difficult task to make a prosperous city also from scratch with no city hall upgrades and regional benifits. Thank you for your patience and I will have these up as soon as I can.

    Capital of Amoroff

New Washington is the capital of the Republic of Amoroff, and has been since its founding 117 years ago. As of today it is one of the major economic powerhouses of the country, and certainly vital to the country's survival. Even though it may not be the perfect utopia, New Washington is safer, and cleaner than some of the surrounding towns and cities. Tourists flock to the capital by the thousands. With minor city problems evolving every few months, give or take, the city is able to handle any problem, while able to support its neighboring communities.

These pictures show New Washington progess from a small town to a bustling city of 215,000.

(This is not my city journal it is Dr. Boom's as the Republic of Amoroff is a collection of people not just me)

    Fairview:

New Washington / Freeport Metro Area:

    Freeport:

    Mayor: Dr. Boom / Viportools

    Population: 68,000

    City Specialization: Trade/Oil

Welcome to the city of Freeport. Founded by the trading tycoon Martin Spears in the thirties (2034), Freeport had undergone massive growth, and is now the biggest port in the Republic of Amoroff. As an industrial center, Freeport undeniably the main contributor to Amoroff's pollution problem, although efforts have been made to "go green". Freeport's greatest exports are a dwindling oil supply and an increasing supply of alloy and plastic. Originally known as "Bamberg Basin", Freeport's name references the freedom of capitalism and the fact it is a port. (No relation to Everquest). Freeport's politics are mainly conservative oriented with a wealthy elite and white collar engineers and scientists dominating the scene. Freeport is based off of typical American ports, such as Philadelphia, Boston or the Port of South Louisiana and Orleans. Census puts Freeport's population at about 68,000. While not the biggest city in the country, Freeport is vital to it's economy.

    2,500 Residents

    7,500 Residents

    spark20130328170452.png

I started to develop the southern end. Had to plan ahead and might as well start early. I placed some wealthy parks, and to my surprise a whole bunch of rich sims decided to move in. Perhaps it was the ocean view that compelled them?
    spark20130328170517.png

30,000 Residents. I placed a lot of civic services, such as a high school and a large police station. All of my high wealth homes have become high density skyscrapers, somewhat in contrast to the rest of the city. I also had made a casino in the corner there, to attract some of the tourists constantly flowing into the region.

    spark20130329171014.png

During this time something regrettable happened: I had a zombie attack which nearly wiped out my city! Over 10,000 citizens were dead and 80 buildings abandoned and had to be demolished. I wish I could of taken pics, but I was too busy panicking. I did manage to grab a picture of the regrowth that happened afterwards...

    freeportzombieaftermath.jpg

Here's some pictures of Freeport currently:

    The actual freight port...

And now, the entirety of Freeport from afar...

Sorry I haven't kept true to my word... As I was setting up for the city journals the next day the internet went out and then college started and I have been trying to balance out school work. But as I have some free time place check out some of the new content I've posted, and at the top of the page I have posted two new states as well as occupied tiles and a few new links to city journals.

    North Hampton

    Hampton City Area:

    Clarkson:

    Mayor: FourteenRocket / 14Rocket
    Population: 50,500
    City Specialization: None

Clarkson is the immediate suburb of the city of Hampton. It has a pristine beach on the oceanfront. Many of the corporate elite that run Hampton from the skyscrapers live in Clarkson. Clarkson is one of those urban sprawl suburbs that grew earlier in the 20th century having a primarily a grid system. Due to the amount of commuters in and out of Clarkson, the interstate exit to and from the city is choked with traffic. Clarkson, aside from being a suburb, has many shops and business along the main drag leading from the interstate making it a lively beach town get away as well.

Hampton Blvd leading to the interstate. Many of the shops in Clarkson are on this road. At city Hall the road splits into Hampton Blvd E. and Hampton Blvd W. with many more shops.

    Vanburgh Metropolitan Area:

    Havenwood:

    Mayor: FourteenRocket / 14Rocket
    Population: 55,500
City Specialization: Mining / Metals / Trade

The town of Havenwood was founded in the late 19th century when the discovery of iron ore was made in the area. Ever since the town has had steady flow of mining and much of the ore is refined into alloy and steel. Today about 55,000 people live in the town and work in the industrial district in Havenwood. Much of the city was developed recently skywards with the middle class taking most of the skyline. Trading companies and metal companies have also dominated the skyline of the Vansburgh metro area. Much of the area is still dominated by forests on the mountain side, but choked with urban sprawl in the valley below along the lakeside.

Every day many trains travel into Havenwood to deliver coal and export steel and alloy.

The Hazelton Tunnel takes motorists from the residential district in the east and leads them to the downtown and industrial districts to the west.

    Marshall

    Carson Metropolitan Area:

    Carson:

And this post makes 3 city journals completed today!

    City: Carson
    Mayor: FourteenRocket / 14Rocket
    Population: 152,000
    City Specialization: Trade/Tourism

The city of Carson was founded as a trading outpost between the mining towns in the mountains, and the rest of the country surrounding the mountains. Although much of the trade has diminished, the city still is the main financial center of the region. Carson is the capital of Marshall today because of it's significance in the state's history. The city sits about one vertical mile above sea level making it one of the largest settlements at that height. Visitors can enjoy the shops and restaurants in Carson, and perhaps enjoy a football game, or they can go to one of the ferry terminals along the lake shore and take a ferry to the other side of the lake at the base of the mountains where they can enjoy the local scenery and fauna. Carson is the gateway between the coastline of Amoroff, and the natural world.

Highway 23 passes through Carson, and makes 3 exits for the downtown area, a T interchange for the 4th Street Exit, a Diamond interchange for the 10 Street Exit, and a Partial Clover Leaf for the 15th Street Exit.

This weekend expect 2 or three updates, definitely Rockyway Ridge (I need to figure out a name for it), maybe another from Marshall (Granite Lake), and more than likely one from Hampton, North Hampton. I'm trying to pump these out when I can, but for now enjoy these two pictures of Rockyway Ridge.

    Hillsdale Pointe

    City: Hillsdale Pointe

    Mayor: Joshua Gellock (Gellockfamily)
    Population: 64K
    City Specialization: Education

    Welcome to Hillsdale Pointe!

    9_zps07ba4528.png

Hillsdale Pointe was an urban re-development project of New Harper. While the city is home to the famous Hillsdale University, it lacked infrastructure and services to keep the city prosperous, clean, and healthy. It became a home to criminals, and many businesses were on their way out.

New Harper took a financial risk, and invested in expanding police services to clean up Hillsdale Pointe. This effort, coupled programs and partnerships with local churches, took the city in a better direction. Crime started to trend down. The university received additional funding and was able to expand the campus. Private corporations started offering mass transit options as well. The city now offers a unique infrastructure (lots of land bridges and tunnels), along with bus, ferry, rail, and airship mass transit services. Downtown is now a mix of educational buildings, shops, and offices.

    3_zpsc3b49064.png

    4_zps3b667067.png

    2_zpsfff0c944.png

Hillsdale is not only the proud home of many families, but also many businesses. The city's business-friendly policies attracted many reputable companies to renovate existing, run-down buildings into new, profitable businesses.

    1_zps0b5a6b53.png

The commuter airship mooring is an experimental project from one of the companies that powers the city's airship. It's expensive to keep running, but it also brings in some of the top minds from the region.

    7_zps19954827.png

Traditionally, wind power has not been a cost-effective source of power. Costs to keep turbines operational outweigh the profits. However, these prototype models have low manufacturing and maintenance costs. The turbines wrap around the entire city, giving technicians easy access when servicing these models. You can also take tours and check out these awesome pieces of machinery.

    6_zpse8539018.png

A zombie hot air balloon rises over downtown.

    5_zps7dfeaf9b.png

Finally, a look over downtown from the ridge.

    8_zpsa86761d9.png

Well that's it. Thanks for stopping by and checking out Hillsdale Pointe.
