Anyone know how to handle these?

Ever since the latest patch I have noticed more of this "fillers". Very annoying.

It is because the space remaining is considered as an industrial zone, so, it is in yellow, still,

and because there is not enough space left for a factory to be built.

Erase the zone (the yellow part) and nothing will reappear.

    I've noticed the filler decorations appearing more and more after Patch 3.0, here is my theory:

    The patch notes mentioned that once a building goes abandoned and you bulldoze it, it would take 24 in-game hours for a new building to be built there. Since you have the land zoned for use, the timer is waiting to develop a new building and in the mean time the area is just being stuffed with the filler decorations. The same thing happens in residential and commercial too. You just have to wait the requisite amount of time, a factory will eventually replace those filler tiles if the area is large enough.
