Land value bug ?

What i understand, is that in order to make medium wealth and high wealth sims move in to your town, you have to increase the land value. However despite adding parks, fighting crime, adding a health center... Poor people still move in the wealthy zones and then complain there are no shops. Could someone explain to me why this happens, maybe tell me how to fix it ?

I am trying to recreate Manhattan, i don't think this happened in other maps, is this supposed to happen ? My building are clearly in the medium wealth, high wealth zone but people just love moving in to places they cannot afford.

First of all, are there appropriate jobs for medium and high wealth Sims? If most of the employers are dirty industry (including mines and smelting/refining) and low-wealth commercial, then there may not be enough jobs for white-collar workers. Also, how good is the education system in your city? If you don't at minimum have enough classroom space and school buses (and school bus stops) to accomodate all of the "grade school" level students, then most Sims will be uneducated low-wealth high school dropout types. You probably need a High School as well to get many high-wealth Sims.

The rich tend to build big buildings. So if you do not have the size for skyscrapers to "grow" you are going to get poor sims in the area.

aise the land value. Plug some $$$ parks, and you will see how fast the rich people are moving in and their skyscrapers.

Did the mistake to raise the land value more than I wanted on my new city,  and my working class population plummet, while the rich took over the city :(  building a mass of skyscrapers.

The city was ruined.

However the lack of "forced zoning", make the game fiddly, to be honest. And with the new system, you can easily lose the grip on your city.

Which is something that adds to the challenge.

another thing i noticed was that when i select buildings in construction, they are first medium wealth, and then they reconstruct to low wealth before finishing construction. Are you sure this is not a bug ?

There is nothing missing now but it still continues.
