Looks good except for the right bottom area where it isn't fully developed and the cities don't blend together. Other then that it looks awesome! -uncrazycooper

Now i want to show a bit of the suburb cities of Diamond City.

    This is Forest View:
    /idealbb/files/Ring

The main atraction of this city is its highway thats forested, because of this the highway that connects Diamond City with R.I.T.A. (Airport) its known ah the Garden Highway, a verry colorfull one in autumn:
    /idealbb/files/Nueva

This suburb is a verry populated one, one of the first to be built around Diamond City. This makes all the suburbs buildings of around the same period of construction, thats way the they all look so alike:

Thanks Uncrazy, for your comments and being one of my frecuent travellers.

b.stevens, i bet with practice you'll get to see your regions grow, or not.........as you'll like.2.gif

    Another suburb, Park View:
    /idealbb/files/Ring

This suburb is a more distinctive one, cause of the park thats in it, an european kind as i think about it.:

Hey all. I think this is the first CJ i have read all the way through, so coodos to u man. I think at the beginning of the CJ, someone asked if it was Burgresses/Hoyts model. I think it works best as a modified verison of Burgess's Concentrice Zone Therory. Cept his has Com, Light Indust, R$, R$$, R$$$ and then communters in zones outwards..this skipped the Industrial one...Not that it really matters, just throught i'd make some use of that Urban Geography course i took44.gif...man i hated that class...i ask you, HOW are Papua New Guinea villages considered Urban???!!! HOW! any way....Looks great, wish i had that kinda commitment to a city..:> Cheers

edit-> Brought this topic up to 100:> WOOT!

WOW matthewcs, i never thought i was developing a city based in any urban zoning theory, couse i started this city simply by applying logical thoughts in transport and zoning, thanx by that. And thanks for bringing the thread to 100 posts

Anyway, before continuing with the suburbs of Diamondo City i want to show you the final result of Silver City's suburbs in a regional pic, i think it turn out to be verry nice..... tell me what you think.

OMG I so hate you!!! This is like one of the best regions I have seen in a while! I try so hard to be creative like this! I give you a 10 for this journal and I don't give 10's often. you say you're running out of ideas....check some of the other journals for some ideas, I've heard that helps others. Me personally, I just suck at this whole thing soooo...but wonderful job.
Keep up the excellant work. You did a really great job on your highway...that's what I liked the most and the circle of water around the whole thing!
    Wow.

That's looking good! You're right it kinda looks like the gardencity-concept. Except for that this region has so many inhabitants and the garden city-idea was meant for small towns. This is beyond the garden city.44.gif

    Good Job!

ummmmm, yeah, it could also be done for a a kind of exclusive residential zone, with canals and lots of forests and recreational zones.......although the city started small and all, but the initial intention of this city was to grow as big as it is now.....

    Thanks anyway for your comments
