Coit Tower disease becomes pandemic!

  Hello everyone!

I got a really serious problems with the Coit Tower during gameplay. It is actually a landmark like the Empire State Building, but it starts plopping all over the Commercial Zones I create. It is very annoying, as it does not allow what we call building diversity! It destroys all my plans for a realistic city! It must be some kind of modd, as it never happened during the without-modd gameplay. The problem becomes even more serious as I got like 800 MB of lots, modds etc, stored in Plugins Folder and I don't know what really cause this ugly building to plop all over the place! I DO NOT have the ploppable landmark modd, found in the General Modds nor do I have ANY other modd that allows landmarks to plop like that! It must be some kind of internal problem, probably withing a lot or another modd that actually enables it. So if you got the same problem or if you are annoyed, frustrated or ready to kill somebody in order to calm down with this really suicidal-dragging phenomenon please answer back, so that we could find a solution, or if you have already found the source of this disease I would really appreciate if you gave me the cure!

P.S.

I have already passed all the Internet like a typhoon in order to find something but in vain... 15.gif

The mod in question sounds like it might be the CAM from SC4D. I'm not sure on a solution, though.

It pops up a lot for me too, but fortunately not pandemically yet.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

You should see my Commercial Zones and I think you would really agree with the pandemic definition! Could it possibly be the Extra Cheats Plugin.dll ?

Although this is a Maxis landmark, I think CAM makes it growable (although I'm not sure about that, though CAM is definitely the source of this problem), and this lot is just the right size to fill up lots of commercial space.  If you want these to stop growing, just drop the attached file into your plugins folder.  To make sure it overrides the CAM settings for this building, put the file in your z_CAM folder if you have one; if you don't, create one just under your main Plugins folder.

Existing Coit tower buildings will be unaffected by this patch.  You can bulldoze them if you want.

thanks - hope this works. was building another area of my city and when i panned back over to my W2W commercial district the coit tower was on the verge of ruining it - a good dozen of them popped up replacing W2W growables.

yes after i installed cam it freaken ploped all sorts of maxis landmarks and yes the coit tower is a pandemic in a dence city (skyscrapers!, lots of demand, money, ect) the best way i find it easy to remove by dezoning my current comrence and re zone each lot BIGGER than 3x3 tiles using the key commands ctrl shift and alt however most of the time if it is in a huge city 3x3 tiles are consumed by bats that i downloaded with 3x3 lots

I am not afraid to push that glowing red button

I survive April 2011 PlayStation Network downed services

I could tell you those nuclear codes, but i would have to kill ya as well
