At last our wish has come true! PO is dead!

I have to say I was quite surprised and relieved when I took a look at the official Cities XL site and found that they had canned the controversial Planet Offer and are now working on revamping the single player version of the game (you know the one we all really wanted). It's not too often that the fans can have enough power to dictate a major change in a game after release but it seems that we have done it. I really look forward to the release of the new version of Cities XL in a few months and provided it is a competent city simulator without too many bugs I will be picking it up. I have waited SOOOO long for a full 3d city simulator but I kept coming back to SC4 since it was the only decent one out there. Finally MC learned their lesson, unfortuantely the hard way but we're finally getting what we want.

Gosh, this is really old news The PO has ended on 8th March, that's more then 2 month's ago.

I guess now, that you haven't heard that MC is almost bankrupt!

Doh! I only check in rarely now (got other things to do). So is it unlikely that MC can even release this new version before they go belly-up?

Actually, last I read they were looking for buyers. Who knows how that's going, but it isn't promising from the sounds of it.

Expect the new EA release of Cities Societies XXL in 2012! (This isn't serious.)
