Installing Stex Stuff

I downloaded the Sandbox for Solo Stex file which can be found here: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=404&threadid=112729&enterthread=y

Can someone tell me how to install it or where to put the file?

Just put the file in your Paks folder. Do a search for it or it should be under Program Files>Monte Cristo and then somewhere in there.

deffault: c:\program files\monte cristo\cities xl\paks>>> put it in there

all the existing mods for cities xl goes in that folder(PASKS)

to test if it works. just run the game normal and load an city.

for this mod when in game! CLICK setting and there they must be and tab named "CHEATS" there u can change the omnicorp prices and give ur self 500.000.000 money =)

and the resources are avaible all ver the map

try it out.

and wait for more COOL STUFF =)

Good info but you can actually tell if it worked with this mod before even creating a city. When you first log in to play, you will see an option to "Play in Sandbox Mode" in the very first menu you see, before you ever get to the point of creating or entering a city.

1. install the game

2. updatr it to the latest version

3.install the chosen mod into PAKS directory

4. run the game

5. log in and press play

6. create a new city

7. test the if it works

if u choose the sand boy mod, and uinstalled it. just launch the game create a new city (you dont have to , just if u wish to do that), next open the cities xl menu(there where u set the graphic sound, camera mod, trade, ETC.) CLICK SETTINGS> UNDER SETTING THERE MUST BE A TAB NAMED "CHEATS"     >>> just click it and there u will have some cheat setting that u cant configure if u want=)

When I tried to use a mod I went into programs. there is no monte cristo, there only is a focus home interactive folder. Within that folder all thats there is uninstall, game manual, and the game. There is no xlpaks folder.

You have to put mods in this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Focus Home Interactive\Cities XL 2011\Paks. The (x86) is if you are on a 64 bit OS.
