Constitutional squabble.

 

SCOC is having as many headaches with constitutional matters as SCOTUS.  I think the wording that was struck down was overkill and subject to very loose interpretation, so they chucked it, thank heavens.  This case is over a decade old.  The mills of the law grind slowly indeed.

Privacy and warrants.

 

The US isn't the only place where the town clowns may be playing fast and loose with people's privacy.

 

EDIT: And in a split decision -- wiretap warrants are required.

 

I thought it was obvious, but some members of the court dissented.
