cannot install simcity 4 on xp

i am an avid simcity user , until recently my mac got wiped. I had to reinstall everything. Then i did bootcamp and added windows xp pro (SP3) and attempted to install simcity 4. However the disk would load to the install, readme, simcity.com page and i would select install and then the disk would star spinning fast but nothing would happen and simcity would quit. i am using an intel mac, and have previously had simcity install on my bootcamp partion. 

also i don't know if this should be in the mac forums or bugs and technical as i am running the windows disk on a windows bootcamp partion , thanks for the assistance hope to be hearing soon but i can hear spring rolls calling

i just tried to install it and got this

Error executing 'D:\Support\Simcity 4 Deluxe_Code.exe %1 is not a valid Win32 application
