Well, I assume you are going to celebrate the high holiday.  This is very much family time, so enjoy yourself.

In the Christian calendar, today is Good Friday which is rather a misnomer considering it celebrates the common Roman method of execution.  While we remain open, as always, we respect this day in providing only minimal service to the desperate.

I was rafting with some friends of mine. Lots of fun. I was very tired on sunday though. After that I went to eat with my grandparents.

So, how was your easter?

Easter was a day like any other day.  The dogs and I enjoyed dry roasted pork short ribs, a horiatiki, and and ice cream sundae.  (Dogs make great pre-rinsers for the dishes).

Rafting?  In Holland?  I would have thought that there are no rivers with enough action for rafting, but I suppose you might get a few rapids if there is enough elevation.  Or did you mean something more leisurely, like tubing down the Verde River in Arizona, which is usually hot, but with a nice cool river under your truck tire?

Anyway, I am glad you had a good time.

After the Sunday feasting, you should all try some of our general restoratives.  The autosystem serves very nice Orange Blossoms, Bloody Marys and Prairie Oysters as well as an all-day breakfast.

Ah easter...Wonderful Holiday. Mainly for all the delicious food that my grandmother makes *looks at the menu, but puts it down* Argh..im still full from yesterday But i sure will eat later

I completely agree with that statement. The number of dishes emptied by one of our dogs is just so large, that it would take you weeks to pronounce it (exaggerating of course).

Some interesting fact (perhaps) is that she doesn't belong to a race, she is a mix of two races. A Dutch name for that is Garbage-can, which is indeed what she is used for sometimes (for food of course, not for other things). She'll eat just about anything!

Now I'll have to pass on those deserts, I just had some ice cream. Maybe another day. For now, some Fanta would be fine.

Well, I hope your breakfast was properly cooked and served by the autosystem.  How does fried dough differ from a beignet or donut?  Is it surface fried or deep fried?  If deep fried, its a donut.  Of course, donuts come in many forms depending on country of origin.

For example, a raised dough cake with fruit, usually raisins, and deep fried then iced is called a Dutchy.  I have often wondered if it had its origins in the low countries.

it's done in a pan. you essentially take a biscuit and fry it instead of baking it

Thank you for the food, and ale. Been awhile since I had Nick's catfish filet's. They are the best ever. The Bar-B-Q ribs there are also the best ever too. Being a retired trucker, I have eaten all over the USA and Canada.
