When i try to logon to cities XL it says wrong username or password but thats not right it is the right username/password.

i cant connect i even tryed to make a new account and deleting the old one and downloading the game again.

Same problem here as above. Getting very frustrating and me want play demo, me want play demo, me want ... well, you get the picture.

It could be not remembering your password for some reason or it could be a site issue if both of you have the problem maybe you should wait a few days and see what happens.

I got it working. When it says "no spaces", you can't even put in dashes like "John-Smith". It would have to be "JohnSmith".

Iv been having the same problem for the past 2 days hence why I uninstalled it.

Either username / password cannot accept numbers / special characters like !@#$%^& etc. If this is the case then I would suggest making either the website not accept those characters as well or make the login screen for the game accept special characters / numbers.

I see no point in having a password with no numbers / special characters as it will just be insecure. Also to increase security for the login screen I would suggest using just a standard "Invalid username or password" and not specific ones like "invalid characters" / "no spaces".

    I had the same problem but found a solution that might be able to help you all.

    It seems the Login doesnt like CAPS so try your username without CAPS. You do not have to change it or reregister just typ it with lowercases..

    The Password however is case sensetive, so if you have CAPS in there keep typing them caped.

    yes, you cant use CAPS, and i did it in  my login and now i cant log in into the game.. In site- yes, but not game. I was trying to type my login without caps, but it didt worked... I send mail to support but no answer. Help, please

    I have done exactly the same thing, caps in username and now can't play the game - I just got it today. I have tried no caps in log in screen, to no avail. I also tried allowing specifically the CitielXL.exe and CitiesXL_game.exe files through my firewall (windows 7 64), and running as admin.

    I did send a message to tech support, but by the sounds of things I won't be playing this game anytime soon.

    Unable to create a new username as the product key is now registered to my first (apparently broken) account.

    Looks like some exspensive landfill, even though I got it on sale.

    I received an answer from the tech already, only after about 4 hours. Although it was in french, it DID give me a new password to try, which now works fine.

    So, my problems are solved, game is working, and rather a quick repsonse.

    maybe they've had to downsize to only french-speaking workers.

    that is great news about quick support; i was needing to put in a ticket but figured i'd get no response.

    Does anyone have an e-mail adress to which to send help requests? I have similar problems, but the support page is down, probably due to the company going bankrupt. Maybe driect contact by e-mail is still possible though.

    In the mean time I've solved my problems with a crack, so I can play offline. I understand there could be some discussion about how legal it is to do that, but I think Monte Cristo did not uphold the EULA by failing to provide me with a working account and support. That way, I don't think I am obliged to comply with the EULA myself and I am free to solve the problem myself. As soon as they can fix the problem I will play the game the normal way, but I don't see that happening very soon.

    The other option would be to return the game to the store and get a refund, but I think it benefits the developer (or whoever owns Cities XL now), the store, the other users

    im having kinda the same problem cept for one thing:

    it says "service unavailiable" now, my username and password dont have caps letters or special signs but the numbers 1 and 2. what can i do?
