Because they are *&^%%%$$@!&...
EA does not accept Mac serials. There is nothing you can do about it. They consider us as secondary citizens.
On the other hand except maybe a couple of items, you don't need their stinky site. Search for the forums if you need any less pissed answers.
Cheers

Hello,

I'm a new member here and I am in absolute awe of everything I have seen on this BB. You guys are incredible and create beautiful cities I hadn't even dreamed were possible. I feel as if I have entered heaven but don't have a clue as to how to enjoy/use any of it. (I am also new to Macs and the Internet as well)

With regards to SimCity.com, I just received an email today stating that they could not register my game because it is a Mac game. So what do we do?

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. I will try to do better as time goes on.

If any of the incredible gurus here would like to take a hopelessly addicted guy under their wing and show me how to use the resources here and eventually to create as well. I would be eternally grateful.

Hi Skyrock,
As I mentioned in my previous post you cannot register your game there and you cannot do anything about it. If you just want to register your game, you need to go to aspyr web site. They also host some update for the game which you can download. If you have some other questions about the Mac version of the game this is the place to hung on. For genaral questions check out the other Simtropolis Forums which I believe you will find all your answers. If not drop another line...
Enjoy the game...

The main reason that EA doesn't accept Macintosh S/N#s is simple: There's really no reason for them to. The Mac implimentation of SC4 is ported by an entirely different company, most of the EA crap doesn't run in the Mac version anyway, and all of the downloadable features of EA.com regarding SC4 are all in .EXE files.

Anything that you need for SC4 you should be able to find at either Aspyr's website or right here at our beautiful SimTropolis!

And to all the newcomers who posted on this thread: Welcome to ST! Hope you all enjoy yourselves here. 1.gif

Many Thanks to maremet & jmusshorn for your replies. Your help is much appreciated. I am finding many helpful threads here for many questions. I also will go to Aspyr.com to register my game. I will be downloading things in the future and might need some pointers. Once again, I certainly do appreciate the help.
