Anyone have their SC4 killed by antivirus?

Just wondering if anyone ever had their antivirus come up and kill an active session of SimCity? I just had it happen recently with my AVG. Was in the middle of fine tuning my "tourist" island city for a modest profit and the next thing I know the computer freezes and the monitor does that graphics switching thingy. So I end up dumped to desktop, and see the virus scan window. Usually when this happens, I can pause the A/V and alt-tab back to what I was doing. But this time it just dumped all my work.

Anyone else hate it when the AV steals focus w/o asking, and not only that but even kills a process you're actively using? (The stealing focus thing is bad enough though, and doesn't help with other games either.)

If only there was a decent free AV that didn't steal focus, stays non-verbose unless there's an actual real problem, and runs nicely in the background w/o hogging too much CPU...

Ah well, I guess I needed a break from the game though. SC4 is still addictive, even though it's considered an "old" game.

pauljs75: try AVAST! Antivirus. It is free, and auto-updates w/o stealing focus. a little pop-up comes up at the lower-right hand side of your screen, and it says "Virus database has been updated" and then it goes away. plus AVAST! is less resource intensive than AVG.
