City Population: 57,000..

theres your problem. You need a lot more residents than that until even high rise residential buildings will appear.. but once you have hundreds of thousands of sims you will start to see skyscraper distrticts.

SC 4 + CS 1.6 = :]

The conditions have to be top to get Hi-Risers with 21K sims. Usually you will start getting them when you hit the 100K plus mark. I think that there is a mod to get them faster, have a look in the modsection.

"I love long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me." I say what I think, and not what you want to hear most of the time!

    Hello cmschulz13,

    With Rush Hour (or SimCity 4 Deluxe) at around 9,571 you might get 1% of your low wealth growables in highrises;

But, without mods, the best case will be 20% of your higher wealth (only 5% of lower wealth) developments (i.e. growables) will be Highrises with a regional population of 125,267 and above.

Please see the CAM documentation/threads on the SC4devotion site for further details (and a colossal mod).

No detail is too small to be micromanaged.

Look at the demand bars. I think only skyscrapers will move into the city if the demand for Co$$$ is over the first line. Also, zone high-density commercial in high desirability areas.

I think the thetraeder in Bottrop woul be a great land mark for sc4.

It would be grade when somebody could build it. It is a nice challange; :-)

Here is a link of a picture of it: Der-Tetraeder.jpg

    Okay, here's some help:

When posting a new thread, don't use a completely useless subject line like, "Please Help!"

Instead, use a meaningful subject like, "Help getting skyscrapers".

This is all covered in the forum guidelines, which of course you read, right?

Well, if you just want skyscrapers and want to be lazy, click here to download a handy little tool that allows you to plop all the growable or non-growable buildings in SimCity 4. Or, if you still want skyscrapers the proper way, but want more demand, click here to get the Super Demand Ordinance, which increases demand in your city all over if you select it in the ordinances menu.

    Hope this helps,

    your friend nihonkaranws
