need help on reader

this is the thing, i mading my first steps on modding.

i made some plop thing for mayor mode, and now tring to change some names on old lots i have.. i did everythig, right i think, but the changes don't apper in game..

If you want to get the text that is located in the LTEXT files showing up in the game, try to delete the Item Name and Item Description property in the building exemplar file. They serve the same purpose as the LTEXT files and might be called by SC4 instead of the LTEXT files if they are present.

Well, this is a regular lot, right? Try to remove the LTEXT files in the Reader and add them with LEProp. Maybe the ID combination you used doesn't work for some reason. LEProp will ensure a proper combination that should work.

with Leprop i can onl change description right? not the name i guess, i made them from the grass lots.. =\

You can change both the name and description.

ok, i went to leprop, and chande there both anme and description, but in game, still standard name and description =\

One reason might be that you have more than one version of this lot in your plugins folders.

And that you are editing the version that isn't loaded last.

well, i did read yout tutorial, and it says that we could, if we wish, change all names of maxis buildings editing Ltext's..

i did that, i made a new lot from the grass lot, and edit their Letext's, but they still say: name: Grass, description: Provides bla bla to our sims.. =\

lol, forget, i got what was wrong, i got my old dat. file in other folder ^^ now the names are being changed as well the description.. yuupii!!! XD
