This is where all the education comes from. University and local highschool. You can also see the local football (soccer) stadium, many great matches are held there every year!

How fast did all the pictures load? I'm going to do 7-8 picture updates every 2 days from now on, so it would be great to know how fast it loaded for everyone, that way I can adjust the quality slider a little.

It's my 1st city journal, so please, go a little harder on me, so I can hopefully improve.

WOW! You started into a good city already! I want to see those skyscrapers!

With naming cities, look at the local typography - if it's a bay, name it something like Johnston Bay or Edmonton Reef.
If it's hilly, call it Josephwood Hills.  There's a names database for babies and pets  >here< - you could use these to name some of your cities, by adding say '-wood','-ton','-ester'. Etc.  If you're still stuck look at the STEX - all the bats you've downloaded you could give credit to by naming the cities after the creators... Huh? Huh?

Still need help? PM me and I'll pop some through.

Excellent work - amount of pictures are ok... Are you using Imageshack hosting to host them though???

Hey thanks for the fast reply! 1.gif.

Pictures of skyscrapers are coming tomorrow, or today, if nothing else comes up. School's over so lots and lots of free time for me 1.gif.

Thanks for the link 44.gif. Should find some great names for my region from there. Also that STEX idea sounds pretty good.

Yes I am using Imageshack to host those pictures, and they all are 800x600 1.gif.

Thanks for the comments all. 1.gif
    Now, time for update #2.

First picture is of high-tech industrial area on a peninsula, near the suburbs. There's also a seaport, which is moderately busy. Trading between Touaron and Naiss island isn't the hottest thing right now.
    greentech1jh.jpg

This statue is built in honor of Mr.Touaron, who basically put a start to this, very wealthy, highly educated and efficent city.
    statue5zm.jpg

Sims with cars can use the efficent ferry system between Touaron city and Naiss island. The lighthouse is more than 300 years old.
    ferrylighthouse9lo.jpg

The Miami Palm Complex, ultimate hotel to spend your holiday in. The ultra modern building in the background is the library. There's over 4 and a half million books in there.
    palmcomplex0xn.jpg

High-wealth and low-wealth low rise mix near the highway in this picture.
    lowrise0dd.jpg

This is the Touaron Tower. Providing more than 3000 CO$$$ jobs. Intresting contrast -- next to the Touran Tower, which is pretty much the symbol of wealth, stands the Project Bootstrap, which houses 6 and a half thousand low wealth sims. Not very wealthy.

    Overview of Touaron-North.

That's it for today, next update will consist of bunch of graphs showing the history of Touaron-North.

Looks like you've spent quite a bit of time on this city. It's interesting that you started off showing suburbs rather than downtown, which is what many people start off showing. It grabs our attention this way! 44.gif
