Happy Birthday Channel 4

25 years ago a new television channel starting broadcasting in the United Kingdom, since 1982 it has showcased some of the best American tv shows such as Sex and the City, West Wing, Cheers, Lost, Friends and recently Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives

It has also been one of the most progressive and controversial tv stations in the UK with some of the most groundbreaking programming in UK television history. Ranging from Queer as Folk back in 1999, Brass Eye, Dispaches  to Brookside which showed the first ever Lesbian kiss on British tv.

It also and continues to bring Big Brother to UK audiences

Green Wing

This is probably more likely to interest UK residents, but maybe some of our international members have also seen Channel 4 or films produced by Film4 which included Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Bring back crystal maze!

Skins and fonejacker are the best programming I've seen in a while on C4.
