hey,

i have installed sim city 4 and sim city 4 rush hour on my windows 2000 computer but everytime

i play it, the curser is a circle and it only allows you to click on something (eg. roads) and it wont let you actually lay them on the ground. Also, every time i try to lay it, the game crashes and closes.

If you know something that could fix this, PLEASE reply coz i wanna start playing!!!!

Thanks.

About the circular cursor, it is supposed to be like that. You can lay roads by going to the transportation menu (or simply by pressing R)

Now about the CTD, I don't know what might be causing it, make sure you have updated your game, and reinstall. If that doesn't work, you might want to give us your PC's specifications.

Hi, P4tmh ...

This is very interesting for me - EA Games on Your legal CD SC4 proclaim about OC = WINDOWS 98/2000/ME/XP - and I think this game from 2003 (SC4 DeLux Edition) created with WIN 2000 ..... WINDOWS XP from 2002 or younger ...

My mind - You can't any problems with OS with your standard SC4 game ...

And I remember my first SC4 DeLuxe Edition work like speedy watch with Windows 98 and GeForce about 3600  - but ...  this is only for standard game

And Mr.Ilive come with your Great Tools and WinXP and with Frame Work 1.1 and with Direct  X 9.0 - and now I'm happy with Simtropolis.

Change You? Win 2000 to Win XP and be happy  too ...

P.S. Only Windows 98 is perfect product - this is OS without mistakes  today ....  All my friends working with this OS - not for Internet or games - only for creating ...

I absolutely have to disagree with you, Silur.

SC4 worked absolutely perfect on my Win2K from 2003 on until last year when I had to exchange it as Win2K has some problems with harddisks larger than 130 GB. AU contraire it was actually running a bit faster on win2K than now on XP.

How about your harddisk? As I said before Win2K has problems with harddisk bigger than 160GB and continuously produces error on file index $I20 oder $I30 if I remember correctly. After the "error fix" by chkdsk at the startup quite some files are gone corrupted and may cause CTD.

Excuse me - Nardo69

I talk about only STANDARD SC4 and once more - only for STANDARD SC4 - without ... any 1,2 GB in Maxis Plugins, without 8,8GB in My Docks Plugins ...

For Standard Game your 160 GB on hard disk - lost money .....

With Simtropolis now I have Archiv about 30 GB - but minimum in my Plugins .....

No problems - in my Plugins only HiFi objects today for me ...

This is right ???
