Hello
I just installed a new copy SC4 on my C2D2.4 MBP with bootcamp windows.
But nothing happen when I double click on the launch icon except the CDRom spinning for a while. Anyone knows how to slove it ?

Thanks.

There is a free alternative to boot camp called rEFIt.

I am currently sunning Sim City 4 through a Debian Etch Linux installation. Works well and much faster than the OSX version. Installing Debian on a Mac is a bit tricky.

On a ready system, you must ensure that the graphics acceleration is working. You need to reconfigure Xorg after the installation. Then, you need to install WINE.

To install, you need to copy the CDROM data into an installation folder and set a drive letter for that in winecfg. When the installer asks to change the CD, you need to delete the content from the first CD in this folder and to replace it with the content of the second CD.

When finished, you have Sim City 4 in the Linux start menu. If the game crashes after a few seconds, try to run it with the parameter -sound43.gifff
