so i've searched these boards, and have not yet found anything that makes sense to me. my problem is this: i cannot get anyone to use my trains, busses, or freeways. i have 250,000 sims in my city, i have put these items (other than the freeway which i placed in the center of the city) in the heaviest traffic density areas. and when i query them, my actual usage is zero. everytime. advice please, or point me towards something that makes sense on how to make this work. please. that's the only thing keeping me from really getting into this game. thanks.

i don't know how to put up a pic...i imagine it would be something from the take snapshot button on the game, anyway...if this helps in the meantime

my city is all high density r.c.i.

all blocks are 4x4 with roads, no streets.

i did find something about linking busses and trains, and at least now people are using the stuff, about one percent capacity. i think i will start a new city and put more bus stops, i don't want to knock down my buildings for now just for bus stops. kinda lame that it takes a square of it's own, instead of designating part of the street or something. anyway...

my freeway is cloverleafed directly in the center of my city.
i do now have any connected cities yet, and that is the next thing i'm going to try to get that working.

If you look for bus stops and subway stations on the STEX, you'll find some that are actually built into the sidewalk.  They take up no space, they just sit nicely on the side of your road or avenue.  I'll put my two cents in on your transit after I see some pictures.  Just take a snap shot, convert it to a JPEG and you can upload it to this thread.  It can't be bigger than 600X800 (or is it 800X600).  What I do is simply resize the picture before I take it.  The second largest frame size (use the spacebar to resize) is perfect.  Then just covert it and your set.

i'm working on getting them pics... only prob is that i demolished my trans because it was costing me money and no one was using it. i'm working on it though.
