Can anyone help me identify what files are what in the plugins folder? Odd request probably if I had been organised in the first place (oops) but  I am trying to streamline somewhat, and would like to remove all the stuff I don't use. Namely...

    1. I want to remove the 'rural tiles' at the top of my parks and recreations menu, but not sure what those bats are called in my plugins folder (trial and error hasn't worked so well!)

    2. I have a huge list of files named 'Snk_xxxxx' - what are these?

    3. I have the white walls pack in the parks and rec menu, Id like t remove that too

    4. What packs do I need for the best walls, with 'behind ramps' pieces? There are so many packs its hard to choose!

    Thanks guys

    Thanks in advance

There too many plugins to give advice.

Put each pack in its folder, don't mix them up.

if you still have all the unzip files, i would delete everything in ur plugins folder and reinstall ur plugins. But when u reinstall them make a folder for each one with a distcriptive title and then place it in an appropriate catagory. i make folders for sky scrapers, transportation, parks, residential, comercial, industry ect and within those folders have the actual plugins. this helps a lot to keep things organzed and to trouble shoot problems. If you dont still have the the zip files, then im afraid there isnt much u can do to organize the folder.

    hope that helps

About the only way you can identify plugins if you don't have them classified is with the SC4Tool

which can give you an image of the lot or what have you.  It may also give you enough information to group the BAT's together (model, desc, and lot files).

In future, I suggest being more organized.  Here is an image of my plugins, top level:

^... however, you can have whatever structure under plugins you like or need.  Do not put anyting in Program Files\Maxis\Simcity 4\Plugins.  This should only have stuff from the publisher (Maxis).
