It's always nice to come back to SC4 after taking a month or two off... Had some time to play this wkend, so here's how Crater Lake is coming along:

I'll get some closeups later on. The main thing I'm facing is that there's so much industry developing in this town, yet my industrial demands (all types) are still thru the roof!

Thanks shark, Here's the current view of Scruffaluffa county as of 345k residents. Still not a metropolis compared to some of the cities out here, but coming along... (how do you guys find the time to build these million+ cities??) 1.gif

Back in Shellaccamus, contstruction begins on the new Jolly Manor Tenements... a new experiment where 5000 medium- and low- income residents will be put in neighboring buildings, while scientists at the nearby advanced research lab study their interactions...

Of particular interest in the study will be the Ring Around the Collar Tennis Championships where the blue collar workers will take on the white collar managers in a match sure to top any union negotiations...

Shady Vale - the 1st, and often times forgotten city in Scruffaluffa County - makes headlines for the first time w the completion of their new 1 Mafia Center. Boasting over 4500 offices, the employment dept doors are wide open... 1 Mafia Center is actively seeking self-motivated and talented money launderers, llama smugglers, and bounty hunters that are interested in further developing their skills. Training provided.

    Population explosion!
In just 10 years time from year 57 to year 67, Shellaccamus all but bursts at the seams, increasing in size by nearly 50%! It just goes to support the old saying... Show them a skyskraper and they'll build a city.

Current view of uptown Shellaccamus - nothing like it used to be back in the days of SAPS (Shellaccamus Agricultural Preservation Socitey). While they have managed to preserve their historic farm buildings, the days of living off the land are long gone.

Along with the disappearing of the farms tho, comes the appearance of the cash! and LOTS of it! The little otter Shellac once again shows the financial genius he is, now pulling in over $10k simoleans per month, with half a million in the bank.

Here are some of the latest housing developments that contributed to the recent population surge in Shellaccamus... First, the Not-So- Little Italy apartment complex:

And next, the brand new Tenement Row. Boasting the catchy phrase - More residents than you can shake a stick at, this happy haven for the not-so-well-to-doers offers plenty of lush pavement for the outdoorsmen, and four walls and a roof for those who prefer a little less sun... And! -- is only walking distance to the nearby industrial park! Ah, city life.

Note: It is recommended that you not shake sticks at the residents of Tenement Row.
