Built in 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Cincinnati Union Terminal serviced 216 trains a day at its peak. The station had special entrance lanes for buses, taxis, and street trollies (not included with this BAT) and included a state of the art track control center at the rear. Closed to passengers in 1971 the terminal was slated to be torn down by Southern Pacific Rail Road but the city saved the terminal and only the concourse over the tracks were torn down. Later the station was a shopping mall for a brief time and is now a city museum with Amtrack service to one train.
Stats:
Passenger Rail Station: 10,700 Capacity
Lot: 7x6 with an additional 9x3 overhanging concourse Plop Cost: 27,000 Monthly Cost: 75
Dependencies:
Mikeseith’s Yellow Taxi Props (Optional): Use if you want the taxis in front.
BSC Textures Volume 1
Notes:
ALL FILES IN THE FOLDER ARE NEEDED. There is the station which is a prop and a tiny, invisible, square building that gives the station its stats. This is so the concourse can over hang the lot.
Made by Carpenter7 2011 Thanks to all those at Simtropolis who helped with suggestions, feedback, and troubleshooting! My apologies to those who live in Cincinnati and/or have first hand knowledge of the station. I took many liberties with the design in regards with how it meets the tracks. The game parameters and my sanity required it, though I did my best to stay true to the original and include original elements wherever possible. There is an issue with how the trains pass through the platforms: when viewed from one side they pass through properly, however, when viewed from the opposite side the trains seem to pass under the platforms. This is due to an LOD problem I could not remedy. Sorry.
