  1. Offline-Only Mod: “UniDirectional Networks (UDoN)”

The answer is in this forum. I forget what page it's on, but it's there. You don't open the pkg file, you just put it into the same folder in the SimCity directory as you would put it for the PC version. Just go backwards in this forum; it's a few pages back..   I looked and found it.   NiclistinRedd May 18, 2014 - 02:05 PM mcdonaugh04, on 18 May 2014 - 1:01 PM, said: OS X Users: Right click on "SimCity" in the applications folder and select "Show Contents", then open Contents -> Resources -> SimCityData and copy the .package file there.

  3. Offline-Only Mod: “UniDirectional Networks (UDoN)”

I am not sure if this is the mod's fault, but it went away after I removed the mod. Also, I am not sure what version I'm using. That being said, let me describe the issue. I did look around to see if it was already here, and haven't found it.   I love the mod. It work as advertised, although it is challenging to condense a roadway system so it doesn't take up much room. I recorded my travails on YouTube if you're interested, but I will not be crass and include a link. My problem is, when working in Multi-player mode (NOT using the one-way roads, BTW), roads that I created would turn into above-ground tunnels when I switched cities or logged out and back in. It happened with two different cities. When I deleted the tunnels, I could no longer draw any road in the empty space.. SimCity still thought there was a road there, and indeed cars still drove on the grass.   I removed the mods from the SimCity folder and, although the 'invisible' roads were still on the map, it no longer turned any new roads I created into above-ground tunnels.   Remember, I did not use one-way roads in multi-player mode. Have you heard of this behavior from any of your users? I would really like to explore fully the one-way road experience and record some more videos on the subject (before Cities Skylines comes out), so I would appreciate it if you could figure out was is wrong - pilot error, latest version, etc. Thank you.
  4. Tourism and Casinos!

19 high wealth casinos?! Wow. Don't know how you did it. Did you add them gradually? I notice you do not have low or mid wealth casinos. I've heard that once you have low wealth tourists in your city, it's hard to get rid of them. How did you entice them to come? I don't see a high wealth attraction (Stockholm opera house, etc.). Nevermind. I see. Six boat docs. Smooth move. That will do it. They only bring in high wealth tourists. Nice. And I notice you don't have train stations, either. They bring in low and mid wealth tourists...
  5. How To: get the most of the new raise/lower tool

You are right. Although it is much easier, the roads tend to be bumpy. If you want smoother roads, you have to keep going over the road after you're finished making the sunken road, making the exercise tedious. Usually, I just live with the bumpy road, especially since the bridges are so smooth. I have achieved some nice smooth sunken roads for short distances, but only because I keep repeating the technique back and forth making sure I use the same N distance until the road smoothes out. The nice thing about the technique is, for me anyway, is it does not waste money at the beginning of city creation, a worry when making roads with only §50,000 samoleons and trying to make your major thoroughfares with avenues and throwaway parks.
  6. How To: get the most of the new raise/lower tool

You don't have to go through all that business with the parks. I have made a video (no audio) here: http://youtu.be/TeaiEOFdZLo You will find a full explanation of this workaround at http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/9679487.page#29928849 Here is what it looks like taken to the entire map: http://youtu.be/F04qSOkMop4
  7. Oh yeah, tnobles? OK, we'll see. I keep running out of money in the cities I'm importing raw material to so I can make TVs and send to the arcology. They are being funded because I can sell TVs in the cities that are coming up "Pending." I hope this works, because I've been playing for about two months now, and haven't been able to create a GW yet! Getting bored.
  8. Sounds like my issue with 5 cities working on an Arcology, but three of them it still says "pending." Sigh.
  9. Great works not starting

I am having the same issue. I am using the 5 city region, and two of them still have the Arcology petition approval grinding away. It's been weeks! Two of my cities appear to be working, sending stuff to the Arcology, but three of them won't start. Anyone heard about a fix?
