I have to say--as a supporter of Obama--that I personally feel it's very premature to award him the Nobel Peace Prize. In the past year or so, the Obama administration has certainly grappled with some of the main issues that threaten world peace. Obama has certainly begun to address these issues, rather than put them off til later. But, to my knowledge, he hasn't yet solved any of these problems. Realistically, problems such as nuclear proliferation, terrorist havens in failed states, and the ever intractable Israel-Palestine issue take years, decades even, to solve... if they can be. Less than a year's work is just a beginning.
