    Getting into the SimCity Zone

The Zoning System is what we use to handle the physical placement of buildings instead of the grid from previous versions of the game.

Building a city is very much a geometric problem – buildings and roads need to be positioned in the world somehow, and the city needs to develop in a natural, cohesive, and believable way

Though they have change the grid way of zoning, they still haven't explored much about this idea. It still goes around 3 separate zones: R,C and I.

It would be good if they made use of Mixed-use areas, which exists in virtually every city that's ever been founded and the city would not be believable if these walls of convention hasn't been broken down.

Residential+commercial mix buildings would've been a good start on this one. I mean, what, 90% of buildings in my city has commercial offices on the ground floor.
