DotCity, a futuristic city builder, minimalist in style, massive in size.

Ever wished you could build a futuristic metropolis as massive and beautiful as the mighty Coruscant in Star Wars?

Then you want to check this indie project out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2029782298/dotcity

DotCity is not only a city builder where kilometers high skyscrapers, flying cars and hundreds of millions of inhabitants will be the norm. It's a city builder about demography and technology, where the challenge is to survive fast population expansion from the industrial age towards the far future. It's beautiful, too. And developed by an actual mathematician from Belgium :-)

Interesting concept. The minimalist white featureless/texture free aesthetic of the game give it a rather anonymous sterile & impersonal feel/appearance. It has no warmth no emotional connection.

I concur.  I don't have issue with a lack of textures per se, but I would suggest that having something about the game that gives different character to different parts of the city should be considered.  As a mathematician, it's all about the numbers, but for gamers, it is also about emotions.  This should not be forgotten.

I like to concept, and it's more like the matrix than a city builder.  I'll be interested to follow this game's progress.  Good luck!

If it were coloured for population/building types and traffic and infrastructure were clearly visible it'd be very cool.
